LMAO!!! I see them all the time. They are that amazing. LOL! Some days they are really faint and just green and other days they are just going crazy all over the sky and so colorful. They never get old. Someone moved up here and we were snowmobiling and she had never seen the aurora before. Did she ever freak out. Hahahaha. She was like,"WTF is that!!!" I was so used to them being there I was like, "Huh? What are you talking about?" lol. Good times.
I would like to see the Northern Lights just once in my life. At the writing of the this comment, end of February, would this time a year be a good time to visit Alaskan Pan Handle and/or BC to accomplish this goal? I'm sending this comment and others like it today, trying to decide where to go on my vacation and see the Lights. And I'm doing so at the last minute.
It is a little difficult to keep from being excited because you never know how active they're going to be and as they get more active it gets more colors and moves more rapidly; sometimes jumping across the entire sky and sometimes filling the entire sky and then almost vanishing. I've seen it look like a gigantic squid with vortexes that change color. You have to see it and the funny part is just excitement as these tourist had to travel and pay a lot to see or possible not see due to weather.

That is IRREVERENT.
However, irreverence is also a human reaction that can express spontaneous amaze and joy.

The screeming is usually what wakes me and makes me look out the window to see them because the neighbors get loud when the N. Lights are active.

I wish I had that happen.I'd probably be screaming.I love the northern lights and one of my dreams is to go up north and see them.
