  • gale is awesome! but he's back to school I think for drug problems...

  • yeah.. you could do more eric gales and his "signature" arpeggios..

    spreading love from Serbia

  • are you direct recording the pod? the only way I could get a good recording tone with the pod was through an amp. just curious, thx

  • @DToneQuest Yes I recorded it straight into the computer.

  • @rotren Isn't this essentially the same lick as the one from the Gary Moore lesson?

  • @Vanguard448 Possibly - this style of playing is used by many guitarists.

  • MORE ERIC GALES MANNNN!!!!!

  • Kan du göra en lektion på introt, licks eller liknande stil från John Mayer - Slow Dancing In A Burning Room?

  • Hi Rotren, I was wondering out of interest why you always use guitars of unfamiliar brands?

  • @ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD So I can help make them more familiar. :)

  • @rotren great answer ROTREN to a ridiculous question

  • thank you for introducing me to eric gales!!

  • always great playing and teaching

  • Great playing. Excuse my ignorance....but do u have albums out and / or session work....?

  • @StratsRgreat Thanks mate! No, I don't have any albums out yet... working on it!

  • Awesome!

  • My favorite style! I love those licks!

  • To transpose an Eric Gales lick onto a regularly stringed guitar, very cool, I couldnt do it! :-)

  • @perryinjax What are you talking about...

  • @JesseArrr Look at a vid of Eric playing, he doesnt restring the right handed guitar for his left handed playing, he plays with the fat string at the bottom and the skinny string at the top... backwards of how we all play guitar..

You know how most people restring a right hander before flipping it over to play it left handed, well, he is one of the few who apparently doesnt do this.. it appears from watching his videos and live shows, that he is playing it left handed, but strung for a righty.

  • @perryinjax Well..... The notes are the same. Don't see what would be the problem.

  • Does Eric Gales play his guitar strings upside down as well as his guitar

It appears that he has his strings reversed upside down, as opposed to how we normally play with out low E where his high E is at.. I guess what I am trying to say is that although he plays left handed, he doesn't fix the strings, it appears that he just litterally filps over a right handed guitar, strings and all, and plays it that way left handed, upside down, even the strings upside down.

SO; You did a really nice job!

  • @perryinjax the strings are upside down. I actually know what you're asking. He just learned that way. it is so weird

  • @VicRoseMusic Yea, and I just was thinking it was cool for this guy rotren to have figured out how to show us his technique transferred onto a regularly stringed guitar, because as one comment says, yes the "notes are the same", but the difference in the string configuration does affect the fingering patterns and scales considerably. so nice job and props to the video uploader, thanks for the lesson!

  • awesome lick
