  • could you please replace the metal mario theme with the metal mario from super smash bros?

  • Wow, this is actually really good. I wasn't expecting much because of some of the other custom songs I'd heard, and I know doing N64 music is a hell of a job.

  • best mario game is mario galaxy

  • how to port a music ??

  • great job dude

  • anyone notice pokemon eggs look liek yoshi eggs?

  • It's possible to add the music you want in any stage?

    That would be awesome.

  • @Achille12345 only possible to add the music you want to any stage through the use of hacking so o.o

  • lol at 0:48 mario said "so long gay bowser!" XD

  • @BobeyGamer no, Mario said "so long 'king' bowser"

  • @indonesianmario238 I know I was just tryna crack up a little joke is all

  • @indonesianmario238 I always hear "so longy bowsy"

  • How to port Delfino Plaza music to Mario 64?

  • That's pretty good, considering it's pretty difficult finding a track that sounds like it was from Nintendo 64.

  • @TheZapzupNZ yeah but Wine is only available on Linux... Darwine isnt even close to use-able

    .

  • Remembering my childhood is quite calming.

  • 0:49 "So long, Gay Bowser!" xD

  • I love how Bowser lands back on the stage at the exact point in the music where a new portion starts.

  • I know I couldn't do THAT!

  • damn, GOOD JOB!

  • Great now I'm thinking about Mario galaxy 1 and 2 on super mario 64

  • How i find mario galaxy's midis?

    Thanks for read my comment.

  • Even after two years, this video never ceases to bring a smile to my face.

  • i dont get it how is that a hack? did you just port the music or sumthing?

  • do you fixed the octave raisers\lowers?

  • Sounds like mario 64 used MIDI for it's sounds

  • @nintendork64 that is correct, i believe every n64 game does.

  • Wow, the song seems so in place... Thanks for sharing this awesome music hack!

  • I've got 5 things to tell you

    1. It would be released in 2007

    2. Should there be Super Mario Galaxy 64

    3. There should be Starbits

    4. There should be more than 50 galaxies, not 15 courses

    5. There would be 4 3 star galaxies, 3 2 stars galaxies, not 7 stars in a course

  • This seriously has to be one of the cooliest music hacks of all time.

  • AMASING! AWESOME! AND, uhh... AWESOME!

  • hey i did this first in my house ( it dosent matter )

  • oh, c'mon! it's not hard to notice you runnning an mp3 at the same time as you're playing!

  • @mariosunshinefaan actualy, this IS real. He uses the same song on the opening screen in his hack, "Super Mario 64: The Missing Stars".

  • @mariosunshinefaan And then you realize there's no way to mute the in-game music without muting the rest of the sound. Epic fail.

  • @leafbarrett actually there arew several ways to do that! there are a little thing called "software" out there! but you probably didn't even know that! epic asshole!

  • That.......is........just.......AWESOME!!!!

  • In case you were wondering what Good Egg sounded like in 64-bit, (Which absolutely no one was), here it is.

  • mario galaxy for poor people

  • 0:19 derp much

  • errm... hey nooby question but I honestly have no idea how to hack the song into the rom using insert_seq :S

  • This shit is totally dope man. It's ill to hear the orchestral music alchemically transmuted into MIDI form. Lovely.

  • Pretty good port of SMG music in SM64. This is a really clean one, though it doesn't call a lot of instruments. Still, the work you put on this must be a lot, so your effort into this is amazing. People who straight up complain are always annoying. I can see a lot of work put into this exotic file format for SM64, so your work and other hacks are just amazing.

  • It kinda irritates me when I read these comments saying that hacking is a waste of time or when they are like "DUR YOU R A BAD HAKR I KAN DOO BEDDER"

So what? If they can... Awesome. If they can't, then they can use all your awesome resources and make one.

BTW... I think you are an awesome hacker and can do better than anything i can do as of now.

  • Why are all these kids bitching? I REALLY liked it! :)

  • Thanks for the link!

  • here you guys go on talking about hacking music files.. the most important matter of all is that this is cool Getting the wii game music into N64 i find that amazing none the less. But if you are really Awesome you should try get it down to nintendo 8bit format . that would be cool

  • can i have the download link

  • @XKoreXX Quoting someone else who also does ROM hacks:

"You're right, I've wasted so much time doing something I enjoy, creating something cool and learning a ton of useful programming skills along the way. How foolish of me.

You're entirely welcome to ignore it if you'd like."

  • @frauber I think it's safe to say that XKoreXX got raped...

  • @XKoreXX

    omg serious business

  • @XKoreXX Jtag is so much eaiser 1 and two why the fuck hack an xbox 360.

  • @sneskegagama

    Because it's fun..

  • @XKoreXX I Understand if your gonna get homebrew or pirate games but using it to mod ur rank in CoD is so SAD and ever worse if u sell 10th lobbies and worst of all people pay $20 to get in them when they could play legit even tho CoD sucks but I am not saying that you do it.

  • @XKoreXX Jtag=GAY

  • @444mariosonic

Because you don't know how to use or even own one gtfo troll.

  • @XKoreXX This is fucking mario not modern shitware 2

  • @444mariosonic

So what you still have to mod the system in order to edit the files..

  • @XKoreXX another idiot

  • @XKoreXX LOL Jtagging isn't even real hacking.

  • @XKoreXX your a gay waste of time

  • @XKoreXX want to know what's really a waste of time? internet trolling, nuff said.

  • nicejob dude

  • im soo dowload this

  • 0:50 so long gay bowser

  • Very nice :P

  • website doesn't work...

  • @1StupidRatCreature Go learn something about hacking before commenting :P. Music hacking is pretty hard because you have to reverse-engineer how the format works, there is no such thing as an universal "sound file", especially for older consoles which used the most bizarre proprietary formats.

  • @frauber

I do know about hacking. I've changed multiple worlds o it and the sound with no problem. Don't assume things like that.

  • @1StupidRatCreature not as much as him

  • @frauber true, so true.

  • @frauber That makes it even more pathetic. You could spend all that creative energy and coding to use on your own games, ya know.

  • @frauber EXACTLY!!!! I tried hacking the music on DKC and ruined the game. It wasnt even playable after I tried, so it must take a lot ofwork to hack old games!!!! the newer games(like mario kart wii) are easy to hack. Really easy. All u need is codes to hack on newer games and the homebrew channel/ action replay. anyways awesome video!!!!!!!!

  • @1StupidRatCreature you think it's that easy?

  • G-R-E-A-T ^_^

  • Nice man

  • i prefer it for the ds!

  • this is amazing! so many hack tools for the super mario 64 game! i hope this thing can change the music in starfox 64. do you know when someone's gonna make a peppy's tool? is this thing glitchy and should i be aware of something?

  • remix

  • i say the song sounds better on the n64 0.o

  • Awesome music hack!!!

  • i had to stop 20 seconds in the vid to let my cat in then i heard mario say so long gay bowser and i was like wow LOL

  • 0:20 derp!

  • 32 bit good egg galaxy :D

  • Mario: I AINT GOT NO BOOOOODYYYY!!!

  • Wow! I can do the same hack! Just give me the MP3 file and Windows Movie Maker.

  • @Jorgen297

He didn't use Windows Movie Maker.

Failure is included in this comment.

Plus, to hack this game, you need to know hex and other stuff. -.-"

  • @Absalutly06 I can still make the same movie without knowing hex and other stuff.

  • @Jorgen297

    :O

    Fast reply.

  • wow that music seems to fit perfectly with the game (yeah of course it's a Mario game and stuff). But with a soundtrack such as this, the game would have been even better!

  • Wow! Great!

  • You know,if you hadn't said in the title that this is from Super Mario Galaxy,I wouldn't of known until 1:05

  • cool sence ive heard that music i wont get off

my head! becose shes so frikin owsome!

  • most of the time when people import songs in this game, the music sounds better. this song though, is my favorite import. BRAVO!!!!

  • Awesome!!! :D

  • Hey can you do a Legend of Zelda NES overworld theme?

  • Super duper!!! I liked it a lot!! could you do more of these??

  • Are you kidding me? going through your notes is harder than going through all my geometry homework

  • Well... you can't expect them to come up with new songs ALL the time... Just take Rainbow Road as an example, it has gone through a lot of changes to fit the new systems and yet the songs are similar for some, just improved

  • Comment removed

  • An excellent feat! I'm impressed.

  • YOU deserve a good egg, not the bad

    one in Pokemon...

  • Can we download the soundtrack somewhere? I must have the overworld theme. =P

  • you mean good egg from super mario galixy right

  • you're using this in your super mario 64 the missing stars right?

  • This is awsome!

  • Asking for thumbs up isn't very funny.

  • NEVER ask for thumbs up! Great vid!

  • @Bittergamer1886 I HATE THUMBS UP WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT I HAT IT!... ... ...thumbs up if you agree!

  • @IronWolvesBand NICE TRY

  • @IronWolvesBand That makes no sence!

  • @Bittergamer1886 THIS is ironic...

  • 0:48 " So Long Gaybo!"

  • I mean 0:46

  • That's because Mario Galaxy music was performed by an orchestra. This was made with the synthesized instruments of the N64.

  • That the best he can do.

  • ok i have the PPF O MATIC thing up and i don't know what to put in the top bar!! i have the PPF ROM in the second one.. HELP

  • Comment removed

  • How do you re-input the ripped files back into the rom.

  • How do you put new music on there

  • LOLOLOLOLOL :]

  • the final bowser isnt slingin anymore...

youll turn fire mario and when you jump, you shoot fireballs

  • can someone please make ''Gusty Garden Galaxy''?

    i would ,but i have a Mac

  • The importer tool is open source, so if he has a C compiler he could probably do an easy port for Mac with almost no changes.

  • Comment removed

  • is thet mario paint!?!

  • He did didnt u look >_>

  • AWESOME

  • awesome

  • Is it just me, or does this song work better then the original?

  • Yes it does

  • mp3 of this please?

  • That's crazy I actually might like this version of the song better than the original!

  • h4x0rz

  • Music to my ears! Well done my friend! An A++ for you!

    PRESS START TO PLAY!

  • is there a reason bowser in the cpu demo looks different or is it just the version i play on my wii thats different

  • it's because the wii would have a bug free version. aka glitch free. Perhaps bowser was a bit buggy?

And also, i noticed the wii version has better graphics. It's quite simple, the wii version is better! So what i am saying is , the wii version is better and more updated. Because the wii couldn't handle the crap grahpics.

  • The wii ones frame rate just runs smoother. All VC games on the Wii are just the original roms emulated by the Wii.

  • fucking cool!

  • oh wow wont be long before someone creats an entire game out of it

  • I was just thinking...

With the new polygon importer in toad's tool 64, I could probably edit a polygon of a level into an orb, and set it up like super mario galaxy...

  • probably you could. but how do you intend to prevent Mario from falling?

  • I"m not really sure. lol

  • Nope

  • this is the best hack I've seen!

Just one question, is there any way posible to convert a m64. file into a midi?

  • Great job! Awesome work with the ported music!

  • Comment removed

  • ok thanks

  • coul you share the programs that you use to hack the music

  • This one was done using only a hex editor, but you can download an experimental music importer I wrote at my site (link on the description). Just click on "Mario 64 Notes" under Navigation, and then on "mml2m64: Music Macro Language importer".

  • ey frauber, can you pass me the song in a pff patch?

  • I'm using it for "Super Mario64: The Missing Stars" hack. When it's released I'll share this song.

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!

  • I am making one myself, cold you help me because mine sounds tarible

  • Comment removed

  • i want to put in eifel 65-i'm blue for bobomb's battle field

  • how did you do this?

  • Sounds Like It was Ment tom Be in that game...

  • Words cannot describe how beautiful this is... ;-; It's more than a masterpiece...

  • How come the music doesn't change play positions when going from level to level? There should be at least a few minutes between each of the scenes shown here.

  • ?

These are the demo levels shown at title screen.

  • Whoa! This is totally awesome!

  • I WANT THIS MUSIC! CAN YOU GIVE ME?

  • Please give me one! I've made one by myself, but it sounds terrible! I really want this...

  • EPIC
