More oil in the gas is leaner, not richer. Rich and lean describes the relationship between air/fuel ratio, not oil/fuel ratio. With more oil, less gas is burned in relation to air and you run leaner.
I never noticed it, before I looked I figured you would be talking about Buddy's YZ smoking :) , he still mixes at 40:1, much to rich for the speeds we ride in.
I felt good that day, and couldn't believe I was able to keep up to him, and maintain the speed, that trail we just put in 2 weeks before this video was shot,so the dirt was still fresh, and the rocks didn't start to rear their ugly heads yet.

Buddy still mixes 32:1 even with the new improved oils, I mix at 50:1, with my trials bike it's at 70:1

What was all of that smoke or fog at 2:17? Nice riding by the way. Im from Connecticut and the woods look identical to the woods I ride in.
