  • @kawe178 Shorter cables provide SWR; a sort of electronic wave feedback that would ultimately slow the device and cause IO problems. An obvious example is in Ethernet cables, with have a radio frequency quarter-wave of approximately 2 meters (or just under 7ft). Additionally, using this single standard length, it allows you to use exactly the same cable, whether the attached unit is 1U away, or 30U in the rack space.

  • Needed sound. Not necessarily music, but a narration would have been nice.
