  • i.miss.7angels.7plagues.

  • @plagues215 if i could pick one band to reunite 7a7p would be it

  • hahah 3: 56 and on is fucking dirty

  • so raw! these guys define music at its best

  • That crowd sucks balls!!!

  • even tho i loved karls voice in controller i think that their new album should have vocals more like in this vid.

  • stu's gotta sing more!

  • karl doesnt sound as good as i hoped on these of malice songs..

  • the stinging rain!...i just saw them preform too!...i approve...yes

  • First off, This is one the tightest bands I have EVER seen live. The Cd and the live show, were none different. You know how their Cd kindda all intertwines almost like a concept type of deal. Same deal Live, no different. Plus Branden is one of the Sickest drummers out there. Karl's Voice also, sounded gorgeous as expected.

  • misery signals= one of the best bands in the world

  • they used to be :[

  • no i still love them with karl.

even though jesse was so good.

i meant to say = THE best

  • nah, new cd isn't great at all. has like 3 good songs. of malice was their best cd hands down, was so badass. I love Karl too, mirrors was fucking badass, but this cd was too mucyh of a change. he can't even do that hard voice live that he uses on the controller cd.

  • yer i agree of malice was the best by far.

but even though karl has changed them so much, i'll still think they're incredible.

yer they have changed but i dont think thats necessarily a bad thing. and i love controllers, its got a really epic and big sound.

  • fuck you bro there is nothing generic about misery signals.

  • Why is everyone just standing there like a bunch of deaf retards? I would be jumping up and down and havin a good fuckin time.

  • Well, that was 06, so less people knew about them then. It was in Calgary, and it's packed, because it's warped tour.

There are people jumping up and down-- or trying-- but you can't see them, because they're at the front.

  • b/c it's warped tour

    warped tour = shitty crowds

  • the kenny dude is right, but he smells like my dads ass. the band still rocks, incase you didnt notice the lead singer has the easiest job. id like to see you play that on guitar and rock that hard. and misery signals still has their own sound, i dont think theyre generic at all

  • I play metal guitar and I think this shit is some of the most original and creative modern metal out there, however as a guitarist I could not imagine having the lead singers job, I'm in great shape and still I can't keep my breath trying to scream a whole verse.

  • and that was to that kenny dude, my mac glitched hard lol.

  • misery signals is holy

  • Too bad none of you kids are over the age of 20, and actually remember when Misery Signals was a "smaller" band...they were huge when Of Malice and Magnum Heart came out in 2004, band was only good when Jesse did vocals, shit meant something. Now they sound generic.

  • I remember when they were a smaller band and I'm only 17. I'm from Alberta, they were big here before too, but thanks for belittling us bud.

I'll agree on one thing, Controller was more generic, 360 degrees, but Mirrors was definitely not.

And whether it means something shouldn't come through the sound, but through the words, am I wrong?

  • It sucks when people like you have the misconception that good music is only found in an underground scene. So while we'll continue to listen to Mis Sigs evolve, and grow into a more full sounding band, we'll leave you alone in the underground scene and you can listen to all the Liferuiner and Emmure you want.

  • hahha liferuiner and emmure suck so hard. misery signals is the best band ever. especially the malice days.

  • It is possible that you replied to my comment when you were trying to reply to Kennyxedge's?

Maybe not, it's hard to tell though.

  • Those are just two very very simple, overly generic bands.

It's a half hour breakdown if you ask me...

I don't know it could be conjured that MIsery signals is part of the same genre... Pretty disappointing.

  • I am so tired of people bitching and moaning about Jesse..... Blah blah blah Misery signals sucks with out Jesse.....go take a ride on the fucking WAAAAAAAAAMBulance. HES FUCKING GONE, GET OVER IT!

what the hell is everybody sucking Jesses dick for? Its screaming...its not rocket science.

  • you sound generic

  • @kennyxedge fucking retard. obviously you havent listened to Controller.

  • best band ever

  • this song is amazing. every part of it. MS for life.

  • Word!

  • karl is a lot better than this now..you can just tell by watching newer shows

  • Yeah, but this vid is still fucking amazing.

  • Man, I miss Jesse. No hate on Karl, if anyone worked as a replacement it's him. But Misery Signals just isn't Misery Signals to me without Jesse.

  • Agreed, Karl fits in really well, not the same though, but for me, the day one of the Morgan brothers leaves, it isn't Misery Signals anymore.

  • fucking canada doesn't know how to get down. They play here in portland and i'm leaving that show on my back

  • All passing in dreams talks about in portland is how kids like you make the scene a place to bitch and fight. Canada knows how to get down. Stuart Ross and Jesse zaraska are both from canada you piece o shit.

  • relax dude, it's the fucking warped tour.

how crazy do you think it's going to get?

these kids are just watching misery signals while they're waiting for simple plan's set to start.

  • But this is when Misery Signals was smaller, and the underground scene didn't have very much to do with warped tour. Mostly bands like Alexisonifre, rise against, AFI, bigger bands.

  • Thats because its Warped tour, its a bunch of little cunts with the odd real kid. Canada can get down my friend, trust me.

  • i whispered in her ear and drew her close

  • frikin insane vid, these guys r awsome live.

  • Misery Signals is so amazing live, nice guys too.

I'm suprised that the crowds not goin crazy.

  • they were smaller then.

  • woo! calgary show!

  • are you sure that this was calgary?

  • are you sure that this was calgary?

  • we are not meant to contain the sadness of this world

  • explain to me what mathcore is.

    i've never heard of it.

  • I don't really like the term, but it's used to describe bands like BTBAM, Candiria and Dillinger Escape Plan... Anything that seems to constantly change time signatures and has stabby, technical guitar playing and drumming usually qualifies.

A local band around here used to call their style 'algebracore' as some kind of dig at the term :D

  • so Mathcore is noise then.

cuz thats TDEP is. is noise.

  • Not anymore. Last two albums have been hella melodic in places.

I wouldn't have called 'calculating infinity' noise, either.. It's structured and well thought out, people just refer to it as 'noise' music because they have no idea what the hell is going on. I hate categorizing music, but when someone says 'noise' i think more along the lines of Wolf Eyes, Throbbing Gristle and Whitehouse...

  • the dillinger escape plan is sweet lol. but these guys are way better in my opinion... misery signals has the most diverse sound, definetly. and they're pretty humble dudes. and they're incredible writers (especially jesse, amazing lyrics.)

  • mathcore? who the fuck are you?

  • Dope-Rad-Quadratic-Function-Gnar-Fade-Out-Hammer-Rasta-Brah-Core... Oh, sweet genre!

  • math-metal-core

  • sucky vocalist.

  • LOL hang yourself.

  • fuck you

  • This is Mathcore. The technicality and odd signatures are heinous. BTBAM is also mathcore, same with Dillinger and Botch, but they are very much more so.

  • How many Miserty Signals fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

  • haha theyre better than silverstein

  • awesome going to go c them on set7 lmfao cnt wait!!!

  • they do awsome live shows

  • honestly who cares about genres, theyr metal, hardcore watever, u dont need to get down to the sciences. its music. and its good music.

  • I agree with this completely. People always need to pin a label onto music and I think its pathetic. Enjoy it and embrace it as it is. Misery Signals makes music that is composed and performed well and thats what matters.

  • Is "amazing" a genre? Cuz that's what genre MisSigs fits into.

  • Well, Between The Buried and Me is also, like Misery Signals, a Mathcore band, but in all, i think misery Signals is better.

  • MS isn't mathcore.

  • Uhhh, yeah they are, they are wayyy to technical to be metalcore man.

  • wow, there is no way MS is mathcore.

Go listen to The Dillinger Escape Plan, or botch.

  • timma is right its mathcore

    no other

  • nah mathcore is like between the buried and me. This is like tech hardcore i guess.

  • why do people put lame ass names to music?

cant it just be KICK ASS or SHIT

  • yeah. it can. I agree with you, its just that misery signals arent mathcore and i had to correct whoever said that.

  • Two words: Technical Hardcore.

  • Two even better words: Progressive Metalcore

  • @Dolf9271986 You really don't know anything about metal do you? It's cool and all, just don't comment.

  • @Dave0112 Haha woooow that comment was a long time ago! Damn what a dumb thing I said... LOL MS and BtBaM Mathcore wtf was I thinking.

  • Fucking beautiful. The breakdown at the end sounds amazing on this.

  • 2:40... i started getting goosebumps

  • karl definitely holds his ground on this show. vocals for Mirrors sounded pretty weak. nothing beats jesse zaraska though, seriously.

  • jesse is an amazing voclist nd they chnged lot fter he left

but karl is strong voclist too

    just in different way

  • lol, I saw em first time ( also 1st time heard of them ) @ radio rebellion in new york (2.27) they were so fucking amazing. pits rocked the place, bigger then norma jeans!

  • this was in calgary. as per the race city tower in the background of this video.

  • :-)

  • fucking sick. misery signals=best band ever. at first i thought karl sucked, but now i think he's pretty sick, still think jesse is better.

  • How many Miserty Signals fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

  • ...How many silverstein fans does it take to post one comment?

  • silverstein fuckin sucks you should kill yourself.

  • The clarity in the breakdown at the end is astounding. The song itself is astounding/technical. They performed it without missing a beat, and the sound quality beats most every live video I've seen on here. I <3 Misery Signals

  • Seriously, probably the best video ever shot lol

Perfect quality, and a perfect band

  • Fucking amazing.

  • oh fuck i love these guys. If this is where I think it was, then I was standing by the protest the hero tent. They fucking kicked ass. nice upload.

  • So fucking good singer! carl rocks

  • One of the best sounding live clips ive seen on YouTube!! And one of the most amazing bands. Saw them with Between The Buried And Me on wednesday in London. Amazing gig.

  • sweet me and my friend were in the very front right by karls dink

  • brilliant vid. misery signals > *

  • sweetness.. love the clarity

  • This looks like calgary...i was here

  • insane...kickass
