I love Bill Nighy's accent playing Davy Jones. It's almost like he's become attached to that accent; in Rango, when he was voicing Rattlesnake Jake, sometimes he would drift over into I'LL SENDJA DOWN TO HELL-AH *SNORT* accidentally.

Hey, why isn't any part of "the crab-music box" in Calypso's song, like even at the end or something? Davy Jones' song has it for a long time at the beginning and a while at the end, but she never does. We only ever really paid attention to Davy Jones' when he played the piano on his ship.

It all makes sense really. Calypso was the daughter of the god Atlas- of the Atlas Mountains in Africa-- hence her dark skin. The nymph Calypso in the Odysseus was teased and ridiculed because she fell in love with a mortal- seems to be the same in Pirates. Pirate-Calypso fell in love with a mortal and couldn't let him die when his time came (that's why Davy Jones is old and she is young), yet she couldn't totally lose her freedom to love- symbolizing you cannot control or even predict the sea.
