Preppy collegiate bands like this were dime a dozen back in the early 80's. Very wimpy and clean and gave Power Pop a bad name. However, very popular at parties and dances.
I'm listening to the album right now (on vinyl of course). Sounds a lot like the Smithereens. I remember watching this video on U68 back in the mid 80s.
Twenty years later and I STILL can't get this song out of my head. A testament to its greatness! Two odd minutes of pure pop bliss I've had to share with others.
I LOVED this band, I used to follow them around from Kenny's Castaways to restaurants in Ridgewood, even visited Vintage Vinyl in Irvington just to say hi to Joe (and Rob). You guys are still so great, wish you made more videos like for "Lies" or "Jimmy Said".
Holy crap!!! Did this song get play on 92.7 WLIR/WDRE as well? I used to watch U68 religiously so that may be where I know it from. Wow, I totally forgot this song existed but I know all the words. Thanks for the memories!

This is mediocre, at best. Even with all those bands trying to make it in the 80s. I thought I had seen them or heard them all, but thankfully, I missed these guys. And I'm from NJ. Yikes!

Holy crap! Followed these guys around in my tattered youth - the Dirt, Hurrah's. Saw the Meadowbrook show. Still works for me.

The Modulators STILL got it!!! Great band then...great band NOW!
How about some NEW music fellas? Your 80's stuff still holds up. Time hasn't diminished it nor has it worn out it's welcome.
The Dirt Club may just be an empty lot now but the music that you played there and other places still stands tall.
