is this the 2nd gen Vado HD? Is the the 2nd gen compatible with Windows 7? What editing software are you using? Can I upload videos directly to youtube after using the built in editing software? Thanks for your time
@ussprinceton2004 This is the second gen. There is no compatibility with Windows 7 that I'm aware of as the videos are recorded using the H.264 codec which is supported in any version of windows as long as you have the codec installed.
I've never used the included software... I use CyberLink PowerDirector now for editing. It handles the HD videos very quickly.
I use my kodak zx1 that way but because of my helmet, it points downwards and I can't add velcro to tilt it because it touches my nose. :) I think I'm going to buy a wide angle lens or something.

the problem with this set up is that it would point downward if the chin foam is not cut.

Mine did not have any chin foam. My helmet is unmodified except for the velcro. But yeah, a lot of other helmets would need modification.
