Lux is screaming for the souls of Bieber and Perry in Hell right now...GOD DAMN...bring this BALLS TO THE WALL style of music BACK NOW...we are all so tired of sugar-coated CRAP...so-called ALTERNATIVE couldn't hold their ground, and now I see why...it's the New Age of Musicians for Causes...UGH
I saw these guys twice, back in the day. one of the times was in a basement of a hotel in Ottawa, Canada which held like 150 people, it was totally mental.
yuck yuck yuck at all the comments. I was at this show, Santa Monica Civic....I actually lost my virginity in the parking lot next to the police station. I see many faces of the past in this vid... Some lived some died. The LA scene was as RAW as it could be...
I was 13 and watching this when my mother, a trained singer and pianis,t walked in the room. She looked at me as though I were enjoying a video of the end of civilization.
I remember seeing The Cramps about three years ago in Washington DC...I recall thinking that Lux was like a bizarre combination of Sun-era Elvis, Count Chocula, Edward Scissorhands, and Charles Nelson Reilly. At least at that show.
The guy who pushes the Elton John frames up the bridge of his nose about 0:58 is a plant, right? I mean, c'mon, somebody has to be pulling our collective leg with this chap.
@kingrob29 The musician playing the Explorer opposite Ivy looks more feminine than the late Bryan Gregory. Is that Julien Hechtlinger aka Julien Grindsnatch aka Julien Bond aka Julien Fugelsnuss aka Julien Eaglebauer aka Julien DontcarenomoreIgiveup?
@arklat I think Lux was on the wonder-workin' power o' Jesus Christ.
What do you think Lux is on? I say a mix of oxy and meth. But, I don't do any drugs like that, never have, so I have to guess. Maybe there are some who actually know what his preference was. Anybody?
This is what rock and roll becomes when you extrapolate the banality of it to the extremes. Maybe the most intense performance by a rock group I've ever seen.
