also lars is playing quite a bit of double bass, but the mix on his main bass is much higher than his second, and he doesn't use triggers or anything so he naturally plays weaker on his left bass drum than the right meaning it doesn't sound like he's playing it as fast because of accenting the left drum.

@nycbassist76 Metallica would not have survived after Cliff if it wasn't for Jason. Jason has brought back the band on its feet and launched to even greatest heights. Jason never pretended to be Cliff, he brought his own personality and bass skills making an even better Metallica then before. This rob guy begged Metallica charity to be in the band with the promise of being a copy and paste of Cliff. No personality. He's sad and ridiculous. With him it's 3+1, with Jason it's 4.

Jason was the only one who could fit in Metallica after Cliff, whether the others liked him or not he was built to be Metallica material, it is something this rob guy was not born with. Jason melted into the band naturally because he's got it in his vein. No hard work or charity will ever make trujillo part of the legend. Jason is the legend together with James, Kirk, Lars and Cliff.

also lars is playing quite a bit of double bass, but the mix on his main bass is much higher than his second, and he doesn't use triggers or anything so he naturally plays weaker on his left bass drum than the right meaning it doesn't sound like he's playing it as fast because of accenting the left drum.

@benf199105 God you just won't stop with the excuses....I have played drums and guitar for almost 27 years now.....I was a guitar player in a progressive metal band in the 80's and my drummer and I used to practice for hours every week to play double bass correctly. There is no excuses for not doing your job when it is all you have to do in the day....we both went to school and worked.....I think lars could take the time to build up the stamina again.....LOMBARDO is all I can say....

We both support the same band and honestly I have opinions but at my age I won't be around much longer to express them if I don't now so iapoligize in advance....I can be way to outspoken sometimes....Kinda the way Cliff used to be.....he is one of the few people I still hold as a role model because he never wavered...I feel like if he was still around this band wopuld be much different...Peace brother....

@BRKronberger You mean in his sound or in his stage presence? Because I think the difference in intensity in the bass sound is a direct result of the fact that Trujillo plays with his fingers when things get fast, whereas Newsted plays with a pick.
