The WTC complex was built to survive a slow going Boeing 707, lost in fog and travelling around 150mph. Not to withstand a much heavier widebody jet, with lots of fuel and speeding at 440-460mph. Also, why does everyone say WTC7 wasn't hit? Sure, not by a 767 but it was hit by those 110 story buildings- did you see the footage of the devastation from the other angle? Probably not!

To be frank, critics have said that the majority of those jumpers who chose to end it by jumping died before hitting the ground. In essence they had heart attacks due to the fear of falling...and then there are those who survived until hitting the ground. This is really sad. I know people who were up front when this happened and they say that those bodies hitting the ground was the most harrowing thing to hear than gun shots.

These videos were taken from the "IN MEMORIAM" dvd made from HBO. Possibly the best dvd in regards to 9/11. It captures not only the planes striking the WTC but the emotions of the people who watched in horror at the unfolding events.

This is something, just like the oklahoma city bombing (I was there) that I will never forget. It is absolutely terrifying! I can`t believe i was there,That was the wose thing i ever saw.And i almost had a heat attack.I saw how every thing happend i was right across the streat eating a hot dog with my mom and dad,Good thing nothing happend to us.For some reason this made my cry,When i saw the guy hit the ground i threw up when he was on the flour it look like ashes.Good thing i live in California now i wish i was never there,Now i will remember that for the rest of my life,And i just wish nobody died there how sad.

Don't take this the wrong way but I'm glad they showed those photos of people jumping and what was left of one of them on the sidewalk, because for a lot of people that will be the only thing that will make what happened real. This wasn't just a spectacular loss of two buildings, it was the murder of thousands and thousands of people and everything else is completely worthless by comparison. The human loss needs to be shoved and shoved HARD in people's faces in every graphic detail!
