I would contend that people do put "faith" in science... however they are mistaken to do so

Every single one of my colleagues has a very "hands-off" approach concerning the mingling of science and faith. We do our job, and we let priests do theirs. The intersection of those two fields is something open to each person who has any objective knowledge in both.
