  • how old were u when u made this?

  • @spiritwalker47 damnit, im 15 and im making a portable 64 named the SP64 taking after ur 64boy and hailrazer's 64boy advance. i thought id be the youngest to make a P64

  • @Bobflannery103 I believe shockslayer actually made his first portable when he was 13, so he's got us both beat.

  • @spiritwalker47 ive been modding for awhile, lights are more my favor buti thought about making one when i was 11 but my parens are extremely cheap andwouldnt even let me spen MY own money so yea, finally i have parts like ps 1 screen 4 lithium poly batteries (around 51/2 hours battery life) and a contoller completely rewirded wit the gamecubestick mod , are there any websites where someone can actually tell me wat to do in a way cause i did everything myself ,great so far but i dont wana brakit

  • @Bobflannery103 forums.modretro.com is the best

  • @spiritwalker47 ah sweet thanks manive almost got the case finished but i need batterys and an n64 itself. and during the summer i have to make a portable snes for this one junior in school

  • Where's yours?

  • one of the most ugly i ever seen!

  • Say I bought this...How would I play one of my all time faved 64 games Rainbow six without the z botton? and even if its not for sale...How would you? I think you should hold the name moonlight 64 for your next one because the name is pure greatness.

  • @DarkSonicProductions That's not an L button it's a Z button, I just used an L button so it would be symmetrical.

  • this n64 is pretty good actually. you should make a platform stickin out from the side but ofcourse there has to be some flaws because it is ur first one so u cant really go wrong with it

  • Does it work with Expansion Pak games, such as DK64?

  • @DoixStudios Yeah it had an expansion pak.

  • Nice work !

Hope you good luck for the next one ;-)

  • did you sell this

  • That's for sale?

  • The video says it isn't, it never was and never will be.

  • hey do you know Dan from bemidji high school lol he is the one that told me about this movie

  • Yeah I know him

  • D-Pad not there? You can't play Kirby!

  • No L button, cant taunt in brawl either. T_T

  • Aw... D; So sad.

  • does any body know how you get the switch that switches between the internal and external controller.

  • It's just a regular old switch. You can get them at radio shack.

  • What course did you get extra credit in?

  • Digital electronics.

  • Aww, I wish they had that at my school.

  • It really didn't teach much that contributed to this portable. I did learn the basics about resistors and capacitors. And a few formulas for calculating electricity currents and such. Most of the curriculum is about logic gates.

  • Oh. Nevermind, then.

    Maybe, I dunno

  • what kind of Plastic did you make the case out of? How thick?

  • holy $hit austin u actually built that i thought u here lying and if u havent figured it out its me dan

  • There is one thing you should know about me. I never, ever, ever, ever lie to make people think I'm awesome.

  • ok u never lie wink wink

  • No everyone lies, that's human nature, I just never lie to make myself seem awesome to other people, not my thing.

  • Hey,

Great N64p!!! I've been wondering for a while, what are heatshrinks and how do they help?

  • When you run electricity through something some of the energy goes to heat. Which is why if a processor is fast enough all the electricity makes it really hot. A heatsink is basically a piece of metal with fins on it. You put it on the processor and it disperses the heat from the processor, cooling it down.

  • Oh, ok. Thanks!! I was thinking of making a N64p but i don't know anything about circuit boards, scimatics, or most of the things (e.g. resistors-but I do know what risistors do, just an example) on circuit boards. Would this be a major problem??

    Thanks again,

    --Dave.

  • Looks like some more tinkering can be done, though. Like a better casing etc.

Try buying a 1 dollar handheld thing and using that as a shell. When you get a good production model, I'd DEFINATLY love to purchase. I'd even send you a 64 to work with.

  • When you make more, will you be selling?

  • I hope to make another one soon and I do plan to sell it. I'm really broke right now though so yeah.

  • Awesome, you have the best Portable N64 ive seen.

  • sweet

  • 3 hours is pretty dam decent!!! good work!!!

  • what batteries are you using

  • 7.4volt 4800mah lithium ion

  • Oh, and I'm in 4 of the related video! XD

  • MORE LIKE 5!!! HA!!!

lol, I don't really think there's a lot of portable videos on youtube. Oh well, you are the master of n64p's though.

I wonder, have you ever done an expansion pak relocation?

  • No, but I'm working on it right now. Halfway done, + soldering cart slot to the RCP

  • Hopefully soldering straight to the cpu and sound from the cartridge slot is successful. Too bad all the people who have done it have pal boards.

Sifuf, daftmike, bacteria. Dang, if we figure that out then we just have to figure out how to reduce the psone screen horizontally.

  • Awesome work, you should credit me for the usb thing! :P Just kidding, I don't care. Left my thoughts in the thread, but well done, welcome to the portablizer's guild!
