the gear used in this video is a gibson les paul custom in silverburst through a pod xt live, direct to mixing desk.

live i use the gibson through a marshall jmp-1 preamp and marshall el84 power amp, using a pod xt pro for effects... it gives better tone than just a pod xt live, as the jmp-1 is a tube preamp and sounds nice!

i just use the pod xt live for videos though, as its easy to do and the quality on youtube isnt great anyway.

i've been checkin out your covers lately as well as your band. your band has a pretty solid sound. i'm looking to start upgrading my gear. i have lots of good pedals and guitars and such, i just really would like to get some preamps and what not. how much did your pod xt pro set you back?

The pod pro was £190 second hand i think. The jmp-1 is a nice preamp if you are rack based, and cant afford a triaxis ;D

i've never worked with a rack before, so im not sure what to look for. and really who can afford any of these toys! haha i just get what i can when i can.

Yeah, same here - its just the only thing i seem to spend money on.. i was a student too, until recently. Racks are nice, because you arent limited by any power amp or pre amp section being tied to each other, and your fx routing is totally free.. it takes a lot of thought to set it up, but very versatile :)
