  • how do you keep the xbox from overheating

  • @dondon4720 I just never played it enough for it to overheat in there maybe 2 hours at a time at the most. Its big inside and the heat rises to the top where there's a vent.

Plus since it was my main xbox at the time, I eventually just ran a monitor cable out of the cabinet to make it easier to move between the garage and the house.

  • :D i was thinking of buying fps arcade cabinet good idea?

  • That looks like a fire hazard. I'd still want one though.

  • Awesome job! If only there was something like this near the door of the 7-11 nowadays :)

  • its not a true arcade machine, its just computers stuck in a cabinet!

  • @rainxxxx Should I mount the motherboard onto the wall of the cabinet then?

  • @gamehulk you got to make it like a coin op, you stick yer quarters in and get credits, i bet you did it the crude way and stuck yer joypad button under the moneyslot to press the buttons!

  • @rainxxxx It has a working coin mech that accepts quarters only. I show it at 9:13. The microswitch for the coin mech is wired to the start button, so yes I had to insert quarters to effectively press the start button. However I did another microswitch later as an alternate way of pressing the start button. But it's still wired up right. Coin 1 switch triggers the xbox controller 1 start button and the coin 2 switch triggers the xbox controller 2 start button.

  • @rainxxxx You do realize all modern arcade games (including SFIV) use the Taito Type X², which is just a glorified WIndows XP machine wrapped inside a cabinet, right?

  • @rainxxxx does it really matter? I built something very similar at home with an original X-Men 4player cabinet. A buddy found the cabinet on the street and gave it to me. The rom inside wasn't even X-Men, it was Open Ice. I gutted the machine, and stuck a computer inside the cabinet. You're right it's not a true arcade machine, but I'm at home and with the space that most people have, one machine to do it all is good enough. Trust me, with one of these at home, it's a true arcade experience

  • @whoisarock you wont be able to open your own retro arcade though to the public using tricks like that, if you could remake the rom and board, you could have your own business!

  • Sick dude

  • 誰と対戦しているんだ?

  • Old skool days we used to pay with quarters to play. Thankfully they make consoles, so all u new skool gamers can practice and play at home. We used to head out to the arcades to play..and to pay!

  • That cab is an original 1990 street fighter II factory made. This is how the arcade looked when they used to only be released in the arcades. Old skull da

  • why would u do a original cab like this .....thats why u should build one to do this a original console placed in cab makes no sense .....

  • Those cabs are a work of art. Did you buy the marquee and the side art?

  • How do you start? is it free play?

  • @sonicrulz101 It has a working coin slot that I can just drop quarters in to start arcade games. For Street Fighter IV running on the Xbox, there is no need for a coin button. You just press the player 1 start which I have wired to the controller 1 start button.

  • @gamehulk You should make a version where the coin slot is mounted to start :3

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN That's how I originally had it when I first soldered the controls, but it was frustrating having to put in a coin every time I wanted to skip cutscenes.

  • @gamehulk I like the cutscenes...

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN

stop making excuses, we like to have the option not to view them by pressing the appropriate controls!

  • @rainxxxx Just saying, dumbass.

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN

    you were brown nosing!

  • @rainxxxx I was saying. And I quote "I was just saying, dumbass".

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN i quote "your a complete moron"

  • @rainxxxx Quote means to copy out of previous text. You never said that before, so obvious troll is obvious.

    Verdict: Dumbass.

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN i was taking the piss out you retard!

  • @rainxxxx I think you're the retard in this comment section. I'm guessing you didn't do too well in English.

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN no your the one that diddnt do well, with your lack of basic understanding, lol you retard!

  • @rainxxxx Learn to spell dude, then come back to me.

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN spelling was on par, are you dyslectic or something?

  • @rainxxxx "no your the one that didddnt do well" Whoa, got your keyboard stuck?

  • @THENAMEISQUICKMAN are you scratching for a comeback or something? just admit your dumb, make it easy on yourself!

  • @gamehulk proves my point then doesnt it, its not a true arcade feel, anyone can stick a computer in a cabinet, but you have to rewire it to make it function like a coin op!

  • did you use the stock monitor? or you put a pc monitor in ??? if you use stock how did you get a video input??or vga input for the monitor.

  • Wow u are really oragnized with ur stuff. wish i had stuff like those

  • It's in my garage and In the summer it gets hot in there. There is a vent in the back, at the top that helps vent some of the heat though. I made this video in the spring before it got really hot. I have since set it up to have the Xbox sit outside the cabinet to make it easier to bring it in and out of the garage.

  • Wouldnt the Xbox 360 Overheat in their?

  • @TomLuvsVidz It's in my garage and In the summer it gets hot in there. There is a vent in the back, at the top that helps vent some of the heat though. I made this video in the spring before it got really hot. I have since set it up to have the Xbox sit outside the cabinet to make it easier to bring it in and out of the garage.

  • could you do gameplay of ssf4 on a video with this cab?

  • you put a 360 in there?! cool lol. I got street fighter alpha on my cabinet, like the legit game no xbox 360 lol

  • if it were me i make it championship styled!

  • one question i got for you if i have a mk2 original cab. what should i do with it... run the new MK on there.... but wont i need a lcd and the lcd wont really be good .... cuz it only can fit like about a 20 inch....what should i do ... get mame installed on there or just run mk2 on it 1 game with the original arcade. and also i cant play any other games except for.... mk.... becuz the panel for the buttons are made for mk block button is in da middle. its a different setup for mk & sf msg me

  • all these ppl that are saying whats the point HELLO its an arcade !

  • @tfuture100 NO IT ISNT, thats the point!

  • no offense but i don't see the point of it

  • @andree1991 the point is that it isnt an arcade!

  • you sound like such a nice person i wish i actually met yu

  • Its so beautiful

  • nice i have some arcade vids out check them out

  • May I ask what's the mesurements off the whole arcde and what wood did u use and where'd u get the stickers and buttons

  • nice job u done there i was pretty impressed how clean ur cab is an the job is very elegant, all ur wires are very well organized also the control work was very cool

  • sweet cab man, was wondering if you had a problems with heat since it's in the cab?

  • @BaldarkParadul It was March when I put it in so it never got above 80 degrees anyway, but since I only have the one Xbox and wanted to switch between the cabinet and the living room, I started running it outside the cabinet for convenience. With the PC though, even on a 90+ degree day it never got hot enough for errors to occur.

  • Well, the cab is nice but the "skills" are not...

  • ha ha haaaaaa its so shody ..pff

  • Me like

  • how do you unlock fei long.plz tell me

  • beat it with abel

  • have a cab with a universal (dremcst xbox ps2) scart cable spliced into the vga. any tips on how to put my 360 while keeping my old gen's in?

  • If you dont mind me asking, what are the model speakers did you hack for your arcade, and did you splice the stock arcade speakers to the computer speakers?

  • I used a set of spare Creative T2900 computer speakers.. You can see the amplifier/sub sitting on top of the PC and the control pod on control the volume inside the cabinet above the coin mechs. The sound was mono, only one, old speaker connected to the JAMMA board, so I needed an amplified stereo setup, wanted a sub in there. No better solution than PC desktop speakers. Behind the marquee the PC speakers are up there supported by 1x1" nail strips, positioned above the speaker slots.

  • dude, your a freakin genius with the controller mod, holy crap that's awesome... i just cheat with X-Arcade sticks and adapters... lol

    amazing job dude!!

  • Soo cool man.

  • kewl and naomi bad luck ive had my 360 sice xmas lol

  • Man when I go to Mexico I always see some arcades running systems like this guy here, pretty sick

  • lol that challenger didnt stand a chance.

  • how much it cost everything? as total

  • wont your 360 overheat?

  • That is a concern in the summer, but if it's too hot to run the xbox in the cab, it's probably too hot out in the garage to be in there playing it anyway. Falcon chipset and a hard drive instal help. I have it hooked up now so I keep the Xbox outside, next to the cabinet on a little stand. Makes it easier to move it between the cabinet and the living room tv.

  • I was thinking the same thing..ive had 4 xbox 360's and they all RRod!...never again..mame and Emu's for me.Cool video all the same.

  • How much did that cabinet cost when you bought it?

  • $200, $250 delivered.

  • where'd you order from? O_O...

  • It was an ebay auction. The cabinet was running Carrier Airwing with a hand-made paper marquee when I got it. The wood was swelling in a few places and the base was broken. I fixed the structure of the cabinet then MAME'd it.

  • @loffeman1154 he diddnt, he found it on the streets!

  • I would install the game to the HDD

Just so that it doesn't use much power

and to prevent from it overheating

  • i would love an capcom arcade machine in my room

  • don't you get tired on standing up?

  • i can only play these games standing up. duno why :P

  • I bought a nice stool with a back to it. Besides the hard seat, no problems with extended playtimes.

  • That 360 will burn your cab

  • Not really. Mine is newer and runs pretty quiet and the heat from the box and monitor rises and gets vented in the back.

  • Comment removed

  • talk about the full experience.

  • the new game doesnt look right in the old arcade style cab .....i am not a hater i think all you have done is amazing well done ...sf2 would be better in the machine sf4 on a large lcd tv ....

  • Yeah, I completely agree with you. The game deserves a nice big widescreen. 27" at least.

But at least I can play it with arcade realistic controls. :D

  • Kudos, man. That is badass.

  • Kinda a random question but when you playing against the bot then all of a sudden someone join, what was up with that? Was that arcade mode or something else? I've played street fighter 4 but I don't own it.

  • It's an option in SF4 that if you're playing by yourself and logged into Xbox live (gold), then other xbox live players can join your game at any time.

  • What resolution did you set your 360 to display?

  • 1280x1024, but only because the Xbox for some reason wouldn't do 1600x1200. I don't know why they don't support that resolution, but whatever it still looks good on a monitor. The only other thing is that most games display widescreen and not 4:3. Someday I'll build a cabinet with a widescreen monitor.

  • Great looking cab, I just finished mine and I am loving it! I have a Dreamcast, PS2, PS3 and PC inside. Checkout my videos.

  • thats amazing!

  • Thanks!!

  • cool you can switch from 360 to mame anytime. wish i had that. i wouldn't sell it though no matter what if I were you.

  • There's some complications about it though. Because of the USB extensions I use, the Xbox for can't detect the controllers unless you hit the Guide button with the system on. But then again, sometimes they come on with the system. The PC however, always sees them.

Someone gave me the idea of keeping my iPac connected and connecting that to my controls' barrier strips, so that way the same controls are controlling BOTH the PC and Xbox at the same time. Might help recognition.

  • Can you go online with it?

  • Disregard that comment.

  • im sure u could it has a xboxc in

  • Thats the way you wanna play street fighter, in an arcade cabinet! Ive thought about doing the same with a spare arcade cab i have though with it coming to PC too im not sure which way to go, throw an xbox in or a pc..

  • you need a decent pc to run sf4 so i'd go with the xbox

  • yeah to be honest ive got a decent pc sitting right here all ready to go into a cabinet and sf4 runs great on it at high settings and a high resolution. I played it on 360 for the first time last night and the graphics really dont compare to a nice PC but i guess you dont really notice much anyway in the heat of battle, hell i still love playing hyper fight and graphics are the last thing on my mind even though they are nice and oldschool ... anywayz ill end my rant here :p

  • Wow total sweet! You should definately install the game to the hard drive if u havent already!

  • are you kinda worry about xbox heating overload?

  • I wasn't at the time since it was pretty cold in the garage. But now I keep it outside of the cabinet on the wooden table to the right of it. Plus it's a newer one so it doesn't get as hot.

  • Pretty cool man. I like the red white and blue buttons.

  • Sorry 4got to ask, how you pull off that ultra for guile. It's like pure gibberish to me when I see the moves list or on the web. I tried 2 different versions, doesn't work. I guess it doesn't help that I never played with him in the past, but I know flash kick and sonic boom. I know you have to charge for ultra, but can you give me a step by step on it. Would help me a lot! Thanks!

  • WHen you play Guile, you gotta remember the ABC's. Always Be Charging. So most of the game, you're holding back or down&back. When you want to pull off the ultra, you have to quickly move from your down & left to down&right, then back to the charging position, then up&right when pressing the 3 kicks. Once you do it a few times, muscle memory takes over and you don't have to think about it anymore.

  • Thank you so much. I seriously think it took me a matter of seconds to pull it off, compare to the amount of hours I got pissed off at the moves list..lol. It's stuck in my head now, and 10x easier then looking at websites. Thanks again man, you were a lot of help! Check out my vids. and let me know what you think....good looking out!

  • Looks like more and more people just keep on converting their cab's into street fighter 4 playable ones...lol. I remember when me and this other guy were the only one's but now I keep on seeing new ones, even though I've seen your videos in the past. COOL! 5 stars! Btw how did you get the coin mech lights to work. I know they need a 5v to power up, but which LED"S did you get. I got 95 cent ones from ultimarc. Don't know how to connect. Check my vids. also if you haven't. Thanks!

  • The coin mechs are powered by regular 12v automotive lights. The ones in most arcade cabs are the 555 bulbs commonly used in turn signals, overhead lights, or other tight spaces. To get 12v, I used the 12v rail on the computer. Soldered to a molex connector's yellow wire for 12v and black is ground. No LEDs in this cab. Maybe on my next build. Not sure if I want to do a modern one or an old school vertical one or one w trackball/spinners. Whatever I pick, I'll build it from scratch this time.

  • I'm thinking about buying the 12v automotive lights, but I want to know if those lights include the red light from inside or if there is a normal white light and they make the coin slots project a red light? I have the red con door slots. Should I just get any 12v white automotive light? Where did you get your light? Thanks!

  • The coin eject buttons are already red and translucent. You want to use white lights. The bonus to using white lights is that when you have the back door of the cabinet off, you can see inside thanks to the white light. From the front however, you can only see red light through the coin eject buttons. No need to use red ones. I got mine at Wal-Mart for $2, but you can get them at any auto parts store, Target, the hardware store, or any number of online electronics shops.

  • Thanks a million! I got my lights up and RED-dy..lol. stupid I know. All these auto part stores didn't have it then I just went with radioshaq and used a 12v red LED. Same thing same connection, thanks tho! I'm curious to know if you have any problems with your coin mech? Like for me, I can only insert coins in both slots for some games like ms. pac-man metal slug and others. But I have real trouble when it comes to marvel vs capcom or street fighter or superheroes. Any problems with you?

  • Finally, someone who doesn't defile a good American arcade cabinet with japanese controls.

And even better, they're good ol' concave buttons! Need more people like you doing arcade controls.

  • I'm thinking about putting in red ball tops... but probably not. I think I'll build 2nd cabinet with the frankenpanel and Japanese arched controls... that is if you can find the damn things. They're backordered everywhere because everyone's building SF4 sticks, LOL.

  • Looks great...
