  • You should make an updated tutorial

  • @Akeuw He shouldn't make an updated tutorial

  • @Cribs00 Okay, I'm sorry, I didn't know you did not want it, sorry,

    Fuck you

  • @Akeuw Oh, don't be offensive, please. I was mentioning that this is NCIX Tech Tips number 2 and this is how it should be.

  • @Cribs00 hes in the process of doing another one. he has done 2 parts already.

  • wow you can see how much technology has changed since 2007 ...

  • is that a CPU socket 478?

  • Comment removed

  • only 4 years ago, wow technology is advancing at a fast rate

  • how does copper prevent corrosion? you have to have a copper radiator or something close to stop galvanised corrosion.

  • currently downloading all of NCIX tech tips vids :3

this well help me alot in my profession, thanks alot NCIX!

  • lol @ the music.

  • this guy are so gay !! jajajajaj

  • @carlostololo this video was 3 maybe 4 years back

  • Looks complicated. Luckily we have Corsair.

  • @iLoveTaeyeonSNSD and when ur pump fails, all the plastic will melt and your pc will be 4 the trashcan :)

  • This was recorded with a potato.....

  • @MinecrafterEvil This was uploaded in 2007...

  • you should remake this video in better quality

  • 240p = Full porn.

  • the fuck is this shit? 240p?

  • @Bobio93 uploaded 30.07.2007

  • @aeroaa2 surely there was a higher quality in 2007.

  • @Bobio93 nope, all the videos from 2007 are in 240p,attleast what ive been whatching

  • @Bobio93 Not on youtube there wasn't

  • wow, linus, you changed very well, for better i meant :)

  • Linus you look better without the earring ;)

  • i just got a new pc with cpu free upgrade water cooling an my question is; can i run it without ever having to refill it again or does it need to be changed and or added after time??? plz wb thanks

  • @wickedjuggaloz480 is it a cyberpowerpc?

  • @HennesseyHPE1000 nope. its ibuypower and i loved them best pc iv ever had and its running 20c or lower on each cpu core not loud cool case and love the price for performance xD .... i can play anything i throw at it only 700$ also stream 1080p movies O.O

  • @wickedjuggaloz480 does it look like this or a corsair h50/70, because if it is a closed loop then it wouldnt need changed out

  • @HennesseyHPE1000 its like the corsair h50/70, but not corsair i guess idk thanks so to be sure and safe i wont ever have to change this coolers coolant ? strange but nice ty

  • Oh Linus, how things have changed from back then xD

  • OMG this looks like it was filmed in the 90s!

  • wat happend to the purple thing wat u cool coolant? why was it not used on this video?

  • @2kdropshot maybe you just *wish* he was gay?

  • @LordJummy I know I do :3

  • @LordJummy no its just he sound soo annoying

  • @2kdropshot so because someone sounds annoying to you, they are then gay? I don't see your logic sir.

  • where can i get this?

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel in this video I'd have one dollar.

  • lol - how many different organizations has this guy started/joined/been employed with? I see him all over YouTube!

  • in internets years, this is from like the 1920's.

  • he looks bored

  • @Weswes1994 He looks professional.

  • I have a and 640 ii x4 3.0 ghz and a hd 5770 is it worth getting a water-cooling system

  • @deanSidlow No, get a new PC instead.

  • @Markthegreatable its a good system

  • I'm just wondering, but can I use prestone anti-freeze for the coolant?

I'm not going to, but just wondering if that could work.

  • SHAMWOW!

  • this is old haha :D

  • Is that an ASUS MicroATX ?

  • a-c-shop or aquatuning ar godd websites, if u speak german ;)

  • whats a good website to buy watercooling

  • @Realeftawhileago frozencpu dot cm, ncix dot cm sells some stuff, I bought all my water cooling parts from ncix

  • @Realeftawhileago These are all cm. frozencpu, jab-tech, xoxide.

Before you start building you should spend some time on some forums to learn about the theory of watercooling. It's better to spend 2 weeks learning now than trying to figure out why your system isn't cooling well.

xtremesystems dot cm and overclockers dot cm have very good write ups that will teach you all you need to know.

  • Any possibility of an updated water cooling essentials vid?

  • Why would you spend the money on liquid cooling a mATX piece of shit? :\

Expensive cooling + inexpensive components? Why bother?

  • @cygmarx true man why bover i actually seen a guy on a forum other day asking how to overclock HIS PENTIUM 3 LMFAO WHY BOVER i wrote to him b4 u even think of cooling get a pc thats worth cooling cooling is for high end pcs to get the max outa your overclock if your not overclocking no point cooling and no any cheap processoor like from the 1990's aint worth overclocking cos why would u over clock when there is cpu's now for like 100$ that come with 4 cores at like 3.0 ghz spend money get goodPC

  • anyone else find that constant shaking of maracas annoying? :P

  • anyone else find that constant beat annoying? :P

  • Anyone, Is the pump the same as a reservoir?

or is it ACTUALLY the reservoir?

  • 5:49 does he say fuck it?

  • nothing like getting body oil into your waterloop... wonderful! Just use distilled water and drop a pure silver earning in the reservoir.

  • ya this is still good infomation if you are just getting in to watercooling, but it sure would be nice if linus updated this video with cool new hardware and .... dare i say .... better camera work EVEN THO THE CAMERAMAN IS A MAC USER

  • lmaooooooooo @ linus this is just so different.

  • please update to the current systems we have now.

  • can you please update this to the cpus and gpus that are used today.

  • He's like water cooling a dell HAHAHAHA!!!

  • @upplsuckimcool16 thats an antec sonata u dummy

  • Awesome video Linus, you rock ;)

  • Hey dud Could you please tell me the total price of these cool things.Thanks,Susbscribed.

  • Anything that my imagination... :)

  • lower the backround music!

  • LOL, its come a long way.

  • could you do another video but in HD?

  • Wait Wait Wait...How much is the funnel from the dollar store again?

  • @CrapnellGates 5 bucks

  • Nice hair!

  • what screwdriver is that and is it safe to use inside your case and will it strip screws?

  • No thermal paste?

  • @xValekWilliamsx you still apply it in between the block and the cpu.

  • use water for the coolent and some food coloring. i used that and it worked :D

  • is that 1/2 inch tubing?

  • Early days of Tech tips much like early porn lolz thx god both got better with time....

  • What hardware is that? That looks really nice.

  • Aaand then we put this bolt through the motherboard!...

    SSSKKKRRRGGGGGGG...Theere we go!....

  • @Cycloud I don't get it. SKRG?

  • Hey Linus please make an updated version of this vid ;)

  • NCIX has to the be the most technology and mechanically ignorant group I have ever seen. Their "advise" is the worst thing you could do for your expensive electronics.

  • @maddogg553

I like your instructional videos too, oh wait...

  • @TMNoob3 and yours are great as well. ...oh wait. The "advise" that they give has pretty good potential of destroying your equipment. I get sassed for pointing that out? Go eat rocks.

  • @maddogg553

Your an idiot, I know these guys make sense, but smart people know what to do and don't base their entire systems on ONE video. Go die in a hole.

  • @TMNoob3 "your" an idiot. Seriously? First off, if you are going to call someone stupid, you need to not look like a fool yourself. Second, they give out INCORRECT and DAMAGING ADVICE. They DO NOT in fact make sense, therefor I am going to post my warning for others NOT to follow a word they say. I can say this since I am a long time veteran in the info sys industry (and actually know what I am talking about). F off.

  • @maddogg553

    Lulz

Man, somone is getting angry on the internetz! Oh noez!

  • @maddogg553 What parts of it could destroy the set up?

  • @Geoxile (1) He has the bare motherboard sitting on the wood table. (2) He does not explain or advise that you should leak test a system before powering it on. (there are several more just in this video alone) My original statement was in general terms, but I should have specified that ALL of their videos give bad advice.

  • You should make a new video on Liquid cooling.

  • No thermalpaste?!

  • you suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

  • wtf is that linus?!?!!?

  • Excellent video instructional, this is exactly what I was looking for! Straight forward and detailed, very nice. The resolution could be much better, but the detail in your instruction makes up for it.

    Thanks!!

  • the camera man is like i thought i was a bi pod.

  • Comment removed

  • hes wearing noting underneath!!

  • Hmm He's not Wearing an Anti Static Bracelet, but still informative

  • @markcumbriauk no need, plug in your PSU and touch any not painted, not covered part of your case and you are fine, cause PSU has grounding even though PC is not on. There you go, save money buy a fan lol.

  • @gamer1337omg - no, it has minerals and other nasty stuff in it that will build up overtime and cause lots of problems. distilled or de-ionized are what your after.

  • I wish i had the balls for water cooling. Heard too many stories :(

    great vid, as ALWAYS!

  • a syringe works ALOT better

  • can I use normal tap water or bottled water for water cooling

  • NO!!! if you do the waterblocks will rust and leak.

  • its important to use destilled water ;D

  • @sjuttesjul add some car antifreeze to the distilled water to prevent corrosion, but thats optional

  • The flow cycle he explained is terribly wrong, you never send hot water to the pump then cool it, you sen to the cpu the the rad then into the pump

  • @nicks1258

Anyone who actually knows how this works, realizes that it doesn't matter which cycle you do, as it is hardly even ONE degree difference in the temperature.

  • water cooling looks soooooo cooolll....

  • quick tip if the tubing is hard boil the kettle and place your tubing in the hot water wait till it goes soft take out dry off easy as that

  • looks like an old movie of you ^^ looks even like u were new too the record thing :p

  • can i use buggers 2 glue it?? :O 3:56 xD

  • video is a fail... distilled is the best coolant.

your non conductive water WILL become conductive over time as it picks up ions from metal in the loop.

  • @bosoz: good info, thx.

  • @bososz Your a fail FUCK distilled water! use clear cock juice from your mother it runs cooler!

  • @shiteInShoes what if shes hot?

  • @bososz Your a fail. fuck distilled water! Use your mothers cock juice it runs cooler.

  • @bososz EXACTLY! distilled water being pure, it isnt conductive naturally.

  • if i use the pink water and the system leaks, it won't break my computer.

  • depends, if it is conductive it will fry it, if its non conductive probly not, some will some wont, look at soem reviews on toms hardware. or just google search bet take every thing with a grain of salt its your money!!

  • How much is this whole kit? Can i buy it as a kit on NCIX?

  • @FatFuckRecherche

Why don't you just buy the Corsair H50 cooler, it combines all of this in one, easier to install package. :)

  • It's funny you say that, i bought just that a week ago! It works great, not as good as what he's showing here of course but my max temps are 52 celcius with a Q9550 clocked at 3.4ghz with 1.12500 vcore!

  • Your lucky, I'm having to buy all my parts over time so it's taking a while. :{

  • me too. i only have my x58 classified motherboard. 3d vision and case. that took me 7 month to buy. good luck with it

  • lol just finished my rig last week

  • well done. mate. buy the time i saved enough. my parts will be out of date.

  • Dang it... I am looking for a video to help me figure out the best place to mount a radiator.. I have already set up liquid cooling before, but I am not sure the best place to put a 3x120mm radiator

  • @devo85x in the roof is the best place. There is usually more room up there then in the floor and you will be able to suck in much more cool air from out side the case.

Yes that means your blowing hot air into the case but if your watercooling the most important thing is cooling the water in that rad. Besides if you have 2-3 exhaust fans it will suck out that air fast enough it won't build up. If you put it in the floor you need a good cap under the case to easy get air in.

  • Should I still use thermalpaste when Im installing watercooling or should I skip it?

  • you still need thermal compund

  • Thanks mate

  • Yes, you should always use thermal paste. If you skip it, even with liquid cooling, you WILL overheat.

  • wish this was in HQ J/S

  • just put &fmt=18 after the link for hq :)

  • Thanks I didn't know that worked with older videos. :)

  • I t was nice to learn about this even though i truly doubt I'll ever use watercooling. lol. Thanks for the awesome vid though!

  • good vid, baut what dose cortion me ?

  • Corrosion is the breaking down of metal. Ever see what salt water does to a metal car over time? It rusts it. That's corrosion.

  • @rrg019000 Not necessarily the 'breaking down'. It's the oxidation of the metal combining with the oxygen molecules becoming brittle.

  • @rrg019000 Incorrect. Oxygen rusts metals, specifically, iron. Rusting is not corrosion either, its oxidization.

  • @supergiff8 Oxygen does rust metals but oxidization is a form of corrosion so your argument is pointless!!!!

  • @haworthluke So?

  • @supergiff8 so your petty fucking comment was pointless and childish. Rusting is corrosionyou petty little prick.

  • @haworthluke Are you mad, because it seems that you are. Come back when you aren't in such a shitty mood and we can have a discussion like intelligent people.

  • @supergiff8 im mad and your illiterate so it seems it would be impossible for us to have an intelligent conversation!!!

  • @haworthluke Hmm, seems that 30 other people disagree with you. Also, would an illiterate be able to build a computer? Didn't think so.

  • @haworthluke you're*

  • @supergiff8 oxidation not OXIDIZATION

    FAIL NOOB FUKIN PWNT LULZ

  • @permatroll Both are correct.

    FAIL NOOB FUKIN PWNT LULZ

  • @supergiff8 u r rong nubcakes ^_^

  • @permatroll Dictionaries disagree. Either way your name suggests you are doing this on purpose so good day, blocked.

  • @permatroll Oxidation and oxidizations are both words meaning the same relative thing genius... Use Google if you must, if you even know how, I mean.

  • @supergiff8 Oxidation is a type of corrosion. Nice try though.

  • Although I'm going to be getting a Zalman Water cooling system in the future, the setup is basically the same with all water cooling systems. Therefore this video has proved invaluable! Thanks!

  • lol..this remains me my chemistry class

  • go back to english class

  • What are the advantages of cooling your computer tower by water cooling, over conventional fans?

  • Water cooling is far far quieter then fans and delivers better cooling. With even a cheap water cooling kit you could get at least 10-15 cooler then high end conventional fans. With high end custom water cooling you can get even better cooling that could be over 40c cooler even with seriously high overclocked PC.

The cooler your PC is the higher you can overclock.

  • lower temps then air cooling,
