  • This theme and "Alice's Theme" from Alice in Wonderland (2010) are so incredibly similar that it definitely would be a copyright issue if they weren't both composed by Elfman.

  • Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer!

  • This has the same kind-of sound as Alice's Theme (also by Danny Elfman). But only at the very beginning.

  • Thumbs up if Freddie Highmore is 100000000 WAY better as Charlie than Peter Otsrum.

  • Won wonka nutty crunch surprise plz - pays a dollar - XD

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!

  • @harrybandit1000,

You can buy some online they do sell them somewhere because i have had one before

  • Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Danny Elfman are taking over the world, one awesome movie at a time :) this is my fave song in the movie, it's industrial, creepy, and mysterious, like the whole factory itself. Kinda gives you a chill up your spine. the original movie was great too, but I love it with a creepy edge. this song went into my "halloween" playlist :)

  • It's fanscinating, what music can do and how it can be made.

  • tim burton music

  • best movie

  • This is the one remake Depp couldn't pull off. Don't tell my wife I said that

  • @TheHolandos I think its better than the original lol.

  • This sounds so creepy O.O

  • OH. MY. GOD.

What wouldn't I give to be able to be one of those that played this song! It sounds fun.

  • This is somehow majestic and disturbing at the same time.

  • This theme is my favorite because it sounds......almost industrial. The pattern fits the theme of a factory.

  • this song creeps me out

  • la la la la la la la la la la la la

la la la la la la la la la la la la

    Best part.

  • almost all pics of johnny depp look scary and creepy!!!!!!

  • Johnny Depp is no match for... GENE WILDER!

  • @harrybandit1000 He died of old age in 1990 at his home in UK.

  • This never gets old. :) Love this movie so much!

  • (sigh) Jhonny Depp <3 <3 <3

  • To me, Old movie:85/100 New: 90

  • I honestly have to say, I love noth the filna, but I liked the new film a little better and the musuc in it is genius just like the 1971 movie

  • why does this remind me of Half life....

  • i like the wonka"s chocolat!! XD

  • this sounds like the soundtrack from the scooby doo movies!

  • The original version of this movie will always be the best, but the new version I liked 'cause it was closer to the book AND... Tim Burton captured the world of Roald Dahl. Just like he did in James And The Giant Peach.

  • This song makes me think of the deep and twisted emotions that we as humans can't control, and as we dive further to explore those emotios, we only get more found and become more devine and twisted as beings. If it wasn't for these emotions..we as people wouldn't be the creatures we are today.

I comend Danny Elfman, he is truely amazing at composing the most beautiful peices..♥

  • @harrybandit1000 They do.

  • @HeylinPrincess666 do they? where can you get them? :D

  • @sexypotterhead They're all over the place. Gas station stores, CVS, etc.

  • @HeylinPrincess666 i live in the UK

  • @sexypotterhead Oh, then I dunno.

  • in the cinema when it showed his hand a multitude of girls screamed: OMG THAT'S JOHNNY DEPP'S HAND! Lmfao. great movie

  • I think Wonka is one of the things Tim Burton did wrong. He's too young. The whole point of the Golden Tickets and the selling of the factory is Wonka gets too old to do it himself.

  • @noahdanielg

It's still much closer to the book than the original film though :L

  • @TheChillyAcademicIV Roald Dahl can't be touched! I'ts a little respectless, to make a movie about one of the peices of art, the master created. Roald wrote the screenplay for the Wilder one himself did you know that?

  • @noahdanielg

Comparing both movies, This one stays more faithful to the actual book than the older one, Roal Dahl himself didn't like the old one a whole lot.

  • @noahdanielg Plus: If Tim had taken an older man, maybe it wouldn't have been Johnny.... It soooo wouldn't be the same movie without him!

  • Apparently this version is closer to the novel, but I enjoy this one just a little bit better than the original. The visuals just surpace the original, and Wonka is just awesome in this movie (Johnny Depp).

  • i love tim burton!

  • @musicmusicmusic97 Tim Burton was good with this but you should honor Roald Dahl for. Everytime I hear this music I think: "God, that man was a genius!" :-)

  • @noahdanielg truee charlie and the chocolate factory was my absolute FAVORITE book as a kid

  • @musicmusicmusic97 What do you think Dahl would have thought of Depp as Wonka?

  • @noahdanielg i'm not really sure... i loved depp in this but i personally think dahl would have liked it better if he was known only for wonka and not jack sparrow, because when most people think depp they think jack sparrow.

  • @musicmusicmusic97 This is the first movie with actor Johnny Depp I've ever seen. The second time I heard of him was Corpse Bride, and the third time was as Jack Sparrow. So, when I think of Depp, I think of Wonka.

  • @cesarjimenezanimator Mine too.

  • @musicmusicmusic97 How doesn't?

  • Can you tell about the similarities from this Elfman masterpiece from the sorcerer's apprentice?

  • Original version was a million times better. This is shit.

  • @TurnerWhite39. Oh who cares if the original was awsome. It's shit and sucks ass.

  • 0:48-5:02 is the epic part

  • can someone please tell me which tracks occur when in the film? (I want to arrange the tracks in chronological order, as they occur in the movie).

  • Loove Danny Elfman's musics he is so great !!!!

  • @appleperson101 i think anything associated with Tim Burton is scary :D

  • From "Pure Imagination" to pure crap.

  • I get hungry...

  • collegehumor can make fun of danny elfman's music, and i agree with them (tim burtons secret formula), but it is still awesome.

  • Both films are great in their own ways.

  • Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (the old one) = 0/100

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (the new one) = 100/100

  • 3 people were naughty and had to be sung away by the oooomp luuumpas

  • This music fits the tone of the film: Strange, Quirky, somewhat sinister, and loopy.

  • @Big12189 You forgot dark

  • @Big12189 defiantely, this movie is strangely quirky, quirkly sinister, sinisterly loopy... and something else :P

  • download?

  • in this vid the factory looks like a crazy scientist's lab and the music is.. evil but kewl

  • this sounds a lot like a war factory theme more than a chocolate factory theme...i can imagine weapons and tanks rolling off the assembly lines instead of chocolate bars.

  • @sickleandsuckle Exactly.

  • Love this theme song :)

  • its like trying listening to techno sober...

  • Tim Burton, Danny Elfman, & Johnny Depp make the grestest movie making trio in the history of ever-ness!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @skurvay,

They are the Holy Trinity of Film.

  • @skurvay I've got headache because of your comment :/

  • @fiaccik ikr ? you read it, and then you °_°

  • Je ne m'en lasse pas, cette musique est juste géniale

  • This music is amazing!! It's like Oompa -Loompa heavy metal!!

  • this is brill!!!!!!!!

  • Original movie is 100000000 times better hate to break it to ya folks but this one was garbage.... Hate me all you want but nothing can touch Gene Wilder version.. Johnny Depp did a good job but honestly wasn't that great... IMO...

  • @StraightEdgeReviews

Hate to break it to you but even the author, Roald Dahl, hated the original movie stating "he thought it placed too much emphasis on Willy Wonka and not enough on Charlie". He was also "infuriated" by the deviations in the plot devised by David Seltzer in his draft of the screenplay. This resulted in his refusal for any more versions of the book to be made in his lifetime.

    PWNT!

  • @Flash9230 I don't care.. the new version was a disgrace... I personally liked the original version in my opinion anyways... oh wells :)

  • omg willy wonka is the most fashionable, genious, exelent glasses picker!!

id love to have his factory, its absolute paradise in there!!!!! and also his clothes are awesome, i want a wonka bar with a golden ticket!!!!!!

  • Brilliant! a true genius's masterpiece:)

  • Brilliant! a true genius's masterpeice:)

  • His soundtrack was awesome, but the oompa loompa songs kind of sucked

  • Wow, Wonka looks so cool at 13 seconds! His outfit is so dark, yet his face is so pale.

  • where did you find the picture at 0:08

  • i realy wanna download this song is that possible

  • is there a link to download this song?

  • The music is like Invader ZIM. Haha

  • @PrinceYuki16 I honestly wonder, did Danny Elfman create or at least work eith the Invader Zim song, because it does sound just like something he would make....?

  • Man, Danny Elfman has to be from another dimnsion. The it would make at least some sense on his talent. He is able to get the heart and soul of a movie and stretch it into a theme.

He's a really nice guy, too.

  • love the willy wonka photo at 21 seconds, it's so dark and so Burton.

  • Those Wonka bars look delicous!

  • how does elfman do it again and again with these amazing sounds

  • When me and my mum saw this film , at the opining titles with music she was like.

"Well compared to the old willy wonka film , i can tell this is gonna be some scary shit"

  • @roflcopterloveful I LOVE the Burton C&CF, but I can't STAND the orginal. I HATED it as a kid because it just plain bored me, and still does, but this is so interesting and exciting and, and.... and Burton! And anything Burton is amazing! :D

  • love it!

  • i love this Fucking sound!!!! 0:10 danny elfman is a God!!!

  • yep.

this years marching band season is gonna own.

    all thanks to danny elfman.

  • Thanks for uploading!!

  • violet beauregarde is my favorite, but veruca is a close second. But for some reason, i really don't like the charlie in this movie, i think hes wierd.

  • Original still wins.

  • @budf1. NO. ORIGNAL IS LAME.

  • this is like the best song ever! lol i really do love it. it gives me chills

  • first picture starting from the left (a hopeless nerd, at glutinous pig, a poor child, a bitch, a spoiled brat)

  • 2:16 is scary as hell.

  • Brilliant and strange.

  • Love it :D

  • I heard this song and I'm off in my own world.

Tim Burton and Danny Elfman are the most epic team ever. <3

  • The thing is this sounds well they kind of did the same tone as when they did "Alice in Wonderland" main theme!. I mean don't get me wrong Danny Elfman is so amazing he is the one that did "Batman" so he is Wow, by the way Tim Burton Directed this right? I forgot LOL. I did not care for this movie, but I love Jonny Deep!!

  • Tim Burton + Johnny Depp + Danny Elfman= awesome movie!!!!!!!!

  • nadie, absolutamente como dany elfmam

  • Starting about 0:29, (the violins coming in faintly) that's the score for Alice's Theme that he also composed!

  • @sweeneytoddluvver12 exactly, when the Alice begun, i was laughing in the cinema. but the song is just great. and probably is the same theme because Burton asked. #dannyelfmanrulez

  • @sweeneytoddluvver12 That is what I thought too, I wish he did somthing orginal for "Alice In Wonderland" insead of using some of this music in it, I think if they used "Still Doll" from Kanon Wakeshima but well not really use it but at least consider it as a base and work form there, they could have a great soundtrack, even though "Still doll" is form Vampire Knights, it has more of a Alice in Wonderland theme.

  • this movie awesome, very much better than alice, puajs!!!!

  • omgsh!!! I love his music!!!

  • For me, Danny Elfman is the best musician! My favourite!

  • This musical score is simple amazing

  • the link please for the music

  • Is it just me, or do you hear little voices going "Gobbledy! Gobbledy! Gobbledy! Gobbledy! Gobbledy!" at around the 2:00 mark?

  • Pretty wild! Makes me think of amusement park rides. I'd love to ride on a carousel to it. <3

  • 3:41 spiderman lol. I love Danny Elfman's Scores so dam much and his Alice Score is awesome and my favourite of his is Edward Scissorhands, but his Scores do all sound pretty much the same :P

  • 3.41 Spiderman lol. I love Danny Elfman's scores so dam much, and his Alice score is awesome but they do pretty much all sound the same :P

  • I can't say I don't find it nice, it's a good piece of music, on the other hand it's true that ALL of his songs sound like that :-)

  • @ZdZeus definintely alice's theme

  • willy wonka is like this class of ... weird pop singer.... LOVE IT! 5/5

  • i saw this movie around 100 times....the great mind of tim burton no has limit!!...and for the new movie Alice in wonderland i know is a Great person...and for the music..Danny elfman is the best!!

  • Love this!!!! Elfman is a beast composer.

  • The rating for this movie is WAY TOO LOW!

Jonny Depp + Tim Burton = 10/10 ALL THE TIME >:l

  • @UltraRobbie your right

  • Comment removed

  • @UltraRobbie Don't forget Danny Elfman's musical contribution!

  • @DeuceyDee Oh definitely yes.

He is just incredible with his soundtracks.

  • @UltraRobbie Total agreement.

  • @UltraRobbie dont forget about adding danny elfman.. he makes the music in almost every tim burton film

  • @UltraRobbie ( you've forgot danny elfman ^^)

  • @UltraRobbie What? That combo is pointless without Danny Elfman

  • @ahabadong True, should have added that.

  • @UltraRobbie, this film is also closer to the book than the 1971 monstrosity.

  • @BibleJoker2Face I honestly haven't seen the first one, and I really really need to see it. Once I've watched it I should compare the two.

  • @BibleJoker2Face I agree! so much closer! I love the book so much. Plus that Wonka scared my shitless as a child

  • @UltraRobbie Not in Alice in Wonderland, though...

  • EPIC!!! Can't wait to hear "Alice"...

  • how is he michael jackson????????????/

  • for the same

  • Everyone has rated this down but I can kind of see it :P

  • roald dahl an his books are sooooo great

  • Danny Elfman is EPIC.

  • Great!!!!!! I love this

  • This old version of this movie scared the crap out of me, because you never saw what happened to the kids at the end.

  • According to Wonka, they were all safe, fine and would return to their normal horrible selves (perhaps in better condition than this movie). But hopefully a bit wiser.

  • @ClearButterfly23,. YUP.

  • Danny Elfman is a genius !

  • 0:49 - CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY title emerges from the swirling chocolate. Nice touch.

  • This is really a wonderful, spooky, EPIC track! It's like a combination of Edward Scissorhands and Spider-Man. One of my favorite Elfman songs. 0:48 ftw!

  • Danny Elfman is awesome!!

  • The theme falls apart near the last 1/3. It's like Danny Elfman ran out of music so he threw in some stanzas from Men in Black and Spider-Man.

  • I think you are right, but he didnt run out, he just got bored.

  • nah, keep in mind, this accompanied the opening credits. this was when the excitement died down and they were just shipping away the chocolate.

  • It's a good theme, but I always thought it sounded more like a Sci- fi movie, the weird UFO like tunes in the beginning.

  • lmao SOMEONE didn't grow up with awesomeness.....

  • mmmm CHOCOLATE x3

  • I would'nt call any of Tim Burton's movies for kids movies, just adult movies that may appeal to kids because of the visuals. All of his movies are kinda dark, even this one.

  • I wouldn't call this one dark. The original and the book are way darker, because you don't know what happen to the 'bad' kids afterwards. In the book they die, essentially.
