Kinda gives you a chill up your spine. the original movie was great too, but I love it with a creepy edge. this song went into my "halloween" playlist :)

I think Wonka is one of the things Tim Burton did wrong. He's too young. The whole point of the Golden Tickets and the selling of the factory is Wonka gets too old to do it himself.

Apparently this version is closer to the novel, but I enjoy this one just a little bit better than the original. The visuals just surpace the original, and Wonka is just awesome in this movie (Johnny Depp).

Hate to break it to you but even the author, Roald Dahl, hated the original movie stating "he thought it placed too much emphasis on Willy Wonka and not enough on Charlie". He was also "infuriated" by the deviations in the plot devised by David Seltzer in his draft of the screenplay. This resulted in his refusal for any more versions of the book to be made in his lifetime.

I wouldn't call this one dark. The original and the book are way darker, because you don't know what happen to the 'bad' kids afterwards. In the book they die, essentially.
