I have studied the screencaps and it looks like the middle braid is left alone and the other two are left braided apart but joined with bobby pins. See this screencap to see what I mean: emiliaclarke[dot]com/gallery/d­isplayimage.php?pid=3606&fulls­ize=1

A good solution for this would be to join the 3 in a 5 strand braid for that joined look you were going for. Other than that great tutorial!

This is wonderful! I just finished watching GOT and Daenerys's hairstyles are all so wonderful. Especially this one, and you did such a good job explaining it. :) I just wish my hair wasn't so darn curly, it makes it pretty impossible for me to braid myself.

Great job! This looks really awsome - I could never ever do this with my (layered, shoulder length) hair. Further, I have no talent at all doing braids myself... ;-) So I am impressed - certainly my arms would fall off...

Unfortunately we do not have GOT (yet) on German television, I am really looking forward to watching it. (Hope they will show it one day.)

Hi! I've recently started watching your videos, directed this way by torrinpaige actually, and I have to say that you are super talented. Your videos are great, and I love the music you put with them. I loved this style so much, and I've rewatched this video a few times so I could get it right. @nenamia7 Ok once you've got the the two braids on the top completed you should have six sections of hair, three on the left and three on the right. Just combine them, from six, into three so that you get that single braid going down your back!

Another one from me :D I just have a little tip witch I think is going to help with that last step. I think if you do the middle braid like shown in this tutorial it would be much easier to join all the braids together by yourself. I can't put the link in the comment, but if you have the time, just go to Free People blog or their youtube account fpgirls and try to find the video named Call of the wild: hair how-to.

I loved this, but when I tried it, I discovered my hair wasn't long enough to do all of the braids :/

Still, I did the front two [and bobby pinned them to the back of my head, they weren't long enough to dangle down], braided the rest of my hair into an ordinary [English?] braid, and twisted it into a bun, securing everything with clear elastics and bobby pins.

It's cute and pretty practical for this summer heat.

@AlmightyElectricEel You know I've done a couple different variations too and I've noticed the same thing! Its really practical and perfect for summer and theres like a million ways to wear this! I was recently on vacation with family and I didn't have the time to do the whole thing, so I just did two braids on the side and combined into one braid down my back. It looked pretty cool that way too.

The author writes in this way that makes the reader feel very attached to all the characters, good and bad. Your version turned out great! Very clever on how to keep the center braid flat against your head!

When I did mine, that center braid was very awkward and loose.

I also just loosely braided the three final braids together.... I should have thought of bobby pins....

I felt weird about making the video since I knew my friend wanted to do this one too, but she's MUCH better then me and you should keep a look out for her version too!
