Also, for the record, the Luigi advantage for skipping the Star Festival is about 4 minutes 29 seconds, since that's the gap between you gaining control at the Star Festival (0:52) and gaining control at the Gateway Galaxy (5:21).

Well, the difference is that those old games allowed you to skip large parts of them using warps, but Mario's 3D platformers require you to collect a large amount of stars before you can beat the story. So the games haven't really gotten bigger as they have harder.

@4Brko There is no emulator able to effectively emulate a Wii, and the roms will take nearly a gigabyte before use and nearly 2 for the save files. So this was done on a Wii.

Actually, yes it is. You can tell that the gameplay style in very similar between the two games. Just becuase SMG didn't reference SMS doesn't mean it's not a sequel. There were several similatirties between the two, also.

I think it shouldn't come because you are liable to run around in circles whilst on a round planet because of the camera angle and the game is just too damn easy. I started in January and got all 242 stars by February, logging about thirty hours of gameplay, including goofing off.
