@spacestate It always starts with the drummer. Adrenaline rush of playing live and he get's carried away. Happens to my band a lot while playing live. I'm always the one trying to motion to him to :"Slow It Down!"
The original had backing (female?) vocals and a keyboard. Too bad that so many backing singers and musicians were uncredited, ave been forgotten, and not present in live appearances. Oh, well...that's show biz I suppose.

@bstribling11 around early to mid '63, but they went back to Fenders and some other assorted makers after their contract with Mosrite expired.
