Players sometimes have to resort to dirty tactics like diving or simulation, simply because the referees turn a blind eye to certain things that the FIFA regulations still say are illegal in football and let too much go. This favours teams who can't play football and make up in physicality what they lack in skill. If we want diving to stop, then we need to eliminate ALL the foul play in the game first. if there's no more hugging & pushing off the ball, then there'll be no more diving. Easy!

i do agree with the few of you guys or gals, i have to say that argentina started the epidemic of "Diving" back in 1986. the biggest dive in history of Football in a big soccer event was in 1996 argentina vs Nigeria when the argentinian forward dives because he couldn't control a ball. funny story is that they tried to setup the offside trap but failed automatically and Nigeria won the gold medals in a stunning game that will go down in history of football and in the olympics.
I do not agree with f**king the Argentinians but they do cheat a lot especially that Messi. They love to dive in the box when they feel they can't win a match anymore. Anyway Riquelme has said he will not be going to the WC at leas that saves the countries they will play with if the will play with from facing too much cheating. Messi will have to do it alone this time.
