  • This song reminds of those days when company came to the house and the 45s came out. My mom would fry a big skillet of fried chicken and everyone just had a grand old time. You never know how much you miss those days until you hear a song like this.

  • This was played until the grooves practically turned to dust -- loved it then & still do now. Thanks for bringing back some very fond memories of many moons ago.

  • Blue light, slow dancing, loving those back in the day basement parties.

  • I used to have him singing this on a live recorded old Murray The K show album, and Mr.Hughes sounded just like the record, not too many stars can do that nowadays.

  • You can't beat the original.....my mama wored her copy of this record out! It was released on a compilation CD called 3614 Jackson Highway.....Classic Muscle Shoals, AL sound......this was the song that put Rick Hall & FAME records on the map!

  • correct me if i am wrong. blues singer etta james did a version of this. she made it more bluesy. her version was better

  • My Auntie used to love this song when I was real young...even at 4 or 5 years old, I knew it meant doing something sneaky! LOL (But it was probably more her swaying, snapping her fingers, closing her eyes, rubbing her waist that gave it away!

  • Too bad they don't make music like this any longer. It was my favorite during my teenage years.

  • thats really cool. i had gotten into this type of music so my dad took me down to fame studios in muscle shoals, and showed me pics of him and my mom getting married in jimmy's house. it was really cool

  • It sound really cool. Just looked up FAME on Wiki and found he was the first to record a hit in the new studio and was aming some real heavy weights like Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Tom Jones, Andy Williams and The Osmonds. You must be proud og your Great uncle and I like him even more after reading he would not sell his soul for stardom and stayed humble and rightous Google jimmy Hughes singer and then go to sonicboomersDOTcom (change the DOT for .) Happy for you mate nice one ;o)
