however; i notice both you and rays2112 both use this technique as a setup. I could see it from his p.o.v, but cause he (rays) owns a virgin bass drum, however you chose to set your kit up this way.

Well, I'm not a drummer like drummernezzy (actually I *own* a set of drums but am just a rank beginner), but I'm a huge Rush fan and have heard this song hundreds of times. Your version sounded about 98% to me. I'm gonna relisten where he pointed out things though. Rock on, man. GREAT work. Amazing gift and rhythm.

Easily my favorite Rush song. You did a great job on a great set. Years ago I thought, I am going to get all the bells, chimes, blocks and other parafanalia. It never happened. What the setup time time on a kit like that?

Way too long! ;) With all the cabling for electronic set, pads, etc., it goes easily beyond 2 hours. If you clean everything well, etc. 3 hours. I don't recommend a set like this if you don't need it... ;)

At 0:25 and 3:29 you need to squeeze in a couple 32nd notes on the kick drum between snare or tom hits. Hard to explain without showing you, but listen real close to what Neil does there & you'll hear it. Otherwise it was about 90% accurate. Good job!-- nezzy-- (former Rush tribute band drummer)
