To ARMINIANS -Romans 11:32 "for God has shut up all to unbelief, that he might have mercy on all".
To CALVINISTS -1 Timothy 4:10"for for this we both labour and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of ALL MEN ESPECIALLY y of those believing."
DOUBTERS I Cor. 15:23-28"But every man in his own order:..For He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet..last enemy...destroyed is DEATH... Son also Himself be subject unto Him..that God may be ALL IN ALL"
My thanks for your corrections. Indeed, I am not studied enough to have reached the point of knowing the meaning of eisegesis. And truly, the idea of keeping one's own understanding of Scripture in tune with expressly that which God has personally infilled one's own heart, is a thing of value. I pity those multitudes still in bondage under organized 'religion', and not yet free to explore the Truth.
@wqpeb Apparently you are either unfamiliar with sarcasm, or you are meeting my sarcasm with a counter of your own. Either way, you also do not seem to understand the concept of eisegesis. Eisegesis happens when a person reads into a text their own traditions and does not allow the passage to speak for itself. You did that when you claimed that God did not "delight" in Esau. Well, "delight" is not a proper rending of agape. The word agape means love. Likewise, the word for hate means hate.
@mkfoskey Furthermore, the text clearly says that God made His choice BEFORE Jacob and Esau did anything either good or bad, so that His purpose of ELECTION might stand. The whole point of the passage is that God can and does "show mercy to whom He wills and whom He wills He hardens". Your interpretation that God chose Jacob because Jacob "delighted" God is diametrically opposed to any natural reading of the text in the context. Your tradition has blinded you if you cant see that.
@wqpeb Thank you for so clearly demonstrating eisegesis (reading your traditions into a text). I literally could not have given a better illustration.

Omnibenevolence is a fact.
Scripture holds faithful and true.
Esau did not DELIGHT God as Jacob did. (He was LOVED just the SAME, though.)
