@freedomsk8park0 very true. when i had this i actually didn't think it was all that great, there were things i loved about it but it just seemed like it was missing something. not that there was ever any chance i would have kept that particular machine, but now i remember how light, nimble and snappy it was

i have a 1988 trx250x it had a few problems like the CID box the stater and the trigger but we also had a trx200sx that we took the parts off that we needed it runs so good.

I have a 1992 trx250x that's bored 80 over with aftermarket everything except cosmetic stuff. I want $300 for it bcuz it need head and case gasket and rear brake caliper. It has Yoshi exhaust and burlene exhaust header. It'll run like a scolded dog. Where do you live?

I have a 87 250x that I have fun with all the time. I get shit for it because its a 250 but it go down the trails with all the 450s it keeps up for the most part. I have different sprockets on it for speed though. i was clocked with my cousins can at 71. I have nitrous on it also but didnt use it when i was being followed. Ice and nitrous doesnt mix so well. But they are tough, reliable and fun machines.

@gerardochavo this thing was so much fun they're fast for 250's. I kind of wish I still had it but I wanted a stunting quad and with the extended swing arm and being in kinda rough shape there was no way I could've modded it to my liking. It also wasn't quite fast enough for me, but real close to it.

@xDlPwnzorlxD they were ohtsu pro-wedge h-tracks i believe but they are the same as maxxis 4-snows. anyway they worked pretty good, real ugly tires though and only single ply. the pure sports bandit's that are on the warrior are good in snow too. kenda bear claws would probably be great in snow and they look sweet

Anyone here eva had a raptor 250 the 250 raptor actually is a snappy 250 mine does 68 and all i did to it was put new tires on it i have videos but it was like last year but i race now so im a hell of a lot better. and it can climb some pretty big hills its awsome.

i had a 91 250x and my average top speed was 58mph.i did 61mph like twice.and it was a hell of a bike dude.i got a 03 polaris predator now and the 250x went up all the same hills and mud...it was blue and white and it paid the $1500 down payment for the polaris...i miss that little thing.did and went anywhere..

yeah i kinda liked this one and woulda kept it if i could've had the warrior too but i had to sell one of my quads to get the warrior and this just wasn't the stunt machine i was looking for it was more of a racing machine. hey i sold this to a guy who found me on yt check this bike out now his channel is drkinzenbaw he's done some work to it and it looks pretty nice now!

how big were those pro wedge h tracks? I might buy snow tires for my banshee and realize no matter what it probably wont do good but those will do the best bc there balloonish wich will give my clearance and the tread pattern will actually push me. How deep of snow did they work in?

they were 22inch diameter 10 inches wide and 8 inch rim. i would say about a foot of snow was what i rode in UPHILL in the ditch and got out no problem then i went in that same place with my other quad and got stuck and that quad has some nasty tires on it too

no they were pro wedge h-traks but the maxxis 4 snow is the same. they were good in the snow but i wish they weren't balloon tires if they were the modern style they would be even better. yeah they got good traction though so yeah i would say go for it

lol it all depends what work has been done to the quad, like this quad was horrible at wheelies because of the extended swingarm, but my warrior is awesome for wheelies even though warriors are heavy, they are balanced good

well extended swing arm suck i find no reason for them but the 250x is like the last quad before they completely nerfed them.

yeah the warriors are pretty fast. my friend had one and it was fast as hell. he beat a 400ex that was jetted and a different exhaust in a race. and i like yamaha to the are all for racing. my 250x is my first quad that i actually own and have bought parts for. i cant really stick to one brand cause a got the 250x a suzuki 400 and a polaris and i love them all lol.

i was coming down a hill and around a corner and went into our lawn and i hit the gas and started powersliding but the snow in the ditch was hard and it caught the tires and it flipped. i got thrown off

heck yeah! wisconsin is SUPER fun in the winter! i can't wait to try the warrior in the snow next winter! the 250x was kinda weird in the snow though, i've never known a quad that could slide like that! it was weird, it slid around so much you almost couldn't control it. maybe it's cause it was light

Haha yea it looks like it slides alot. I love the smell of an engine in winter when you first start it up. This year my friends and I aer planning to ride from here up to around Manitowish if the state has good snowfall all the way across.

Well todays kind of a sad day for me. I'm selling my mini bike. It's so fast and fun. I'm making a real quick movie of it today. I've had it for 2 years and it's been nothing but fun. Well that's what I need to do to be able to afford a new sled... I hope the sled I get is worth all the trouble and work I'm doing to be able to afford it haha.

Well the vid is up on my channel. I don't have any music or anything, I just made it real quick. Yea we're kinda in the same boat, both having to sell something to get something new. I'm really excited bout finding a nice sled though. I have $1,200 saved up and I still have my current sled to sell.

yeah thats my favorite thing about the 250x the throttle response it has. and you can also convert these to liquid cooling they have a liquid cooled cylinder just theres no liquid in there just air.

yeah, the warrior is definitely nicer and faster, but these make great second machines! it was fast for a 250 in fact i think this one might have been bored over

this thing did probably 70, and it didn't take very long to get there, i could have it to top speed in probably like 8 seconds. btw the run at the end wasn't the fastest it would go because that was with the small tires when it only did like 55. it was faster and snappier with the bigger tires

yeah mine has the stock tires it will probably get to top speed within about 10 secs just slower compared to abike and those snow tires you had on at the end are like threewheeler tires when you go faster they actually increase in diameter
