I'm trying to complete just one lap in an ok time in GT5 with the F2007. I always seem to go too fast through 1:29 to 1:33 corner though :( But i can't wait to see Kimi back in 2012. Kimi is the KING of Spa!
@docmike1983 If you miss a turning or braking point youre done there no chance at pole no more, this kind of cornering makes the driving skills come up lot more than at oval where its alot easier to learn the perfect lap, i think oval is more about adjusting your car perfect for you
@85fredi The guys doin the Commentary said he was goin upwards to 180/185 MPH which roughly translates to around 330 - 340 km/h. 6 more is neither here nor there tbh. Point is that he is driving really fast on a very challenging course.

@bigioannis8 I do too. However, the car is built around Vettel and probably wouldnt suit Raikkonen and has been out of the sport for a couple of years. Probably wouldnt struggle as much as Schumi did given Raikkonen did drive in 2009 with simmilar regs to today, but it may take him a season to get back into it; Schumi is still getting better after a year and a half.

Kimi Raikkonnen needs to come back to F1 he's a really good drive. He was chosen to replace the great Michael Schumacher for a reason because he can do it. He won the F1 championship with Ferrari but they let him go and kept Massa who is crap. Raikkonen and Alonso would be great partners unlike Massa and Alonso. massa cant keep up with Alonso.

Awesome track for sure. But they really need to race at Nurburgring Nordshleif. I know that will never happen but it would be spectacular to see an F1 car going round there flat out.

You only use about 5% more downforce at spa compared to monza and keep in mind the flat out sections at spa are hell of alot longer than the straights at monza ,therefore you reach the same speed if not faster than monza. Do your research of the cars and tracks before you go questioning facts mate.

@qettyz Traction control has been banned for years now, pace hasn't gone down much even with the banning of refuelling and all kinds of aerodynamic tricks as well, F1 has always been full of doomsayers but it's still a great spectacle in 2010 although i miss the V10 sound dearly :(
just about the top speed... he had around 328-330 kmh at the first long straight, and around 320 on the straight before the finish line... i confirmed these by analyzing the telemetry provided by official live timing...
@MultiOKC.......I agree with the Raikkonen - Vettel pairing. It's just a waste not having him in F1. They have some WRC coverage on the Versus - VS - channel. Not sure if you get that channel. OKC not too far from me.

For all due respect, but whereever you have the information from that pretend to display the vehicle speed in the pop-ups, they're definitely wrong. 1st, Eau Rouge at 0:35 : that's rather 280 kph instead of 313. 2nd, Les Combes at 0:45 : better make that 320 kph tops instead of 346. 3rd, Blanchimont at 1:47 : this is just under 300 kph, but by no means the 340 you mention. still sensational enough, I'd say.

how can this be over 340 km/h when webber in RB simulator for 2010 Spa GP stated top speed is 310 km/h? webber had time of 1:45, kimi of 1:47

Great lap! But missing the times before traction control. At the time it was between the ears! Ofcource nowdays driver can drive faster, but it is not so amasing to watch.

@qettyz Traction control has been banned for years now, pace hasn't gone down much even with the banning of refuelling and all kinds of aerodynamic tricks as well, F1 has always been full of doomsayers but it's still a great spectacle in 2010 although i miss the V10 sound dearly :(

just about the top speed... he had around 328-330 kmh at the first long straight, and around 320 on the straight before the finish line... i confirmed these by analyzing the telemetry provided by official live timing...

@MultiOKC.......I agree with the Raikkonen - Vettel pairing. It's just a waste not having him in F1. They have some WRC coverage on the Versus - VS - channel. Not sure if you get that channel. OKC not too far from me.

I wish Kimi would come back to F1 in a top ride, but I don't blame him if he doesn't want to. I just wish we could watch him in WRC on the television in the USA. F1 needs characters like him though, and it is a shame he was booted for that cry baby. I 'd love to see Kimi take Webbers ride at Red Bull. That would be cool. He and Vettel would be a great pairing.

GeNN19192 the "faster old cars" cant run near each other cause they deppend too much of "clear air" for the areodinamic works, so, they cant do much overtakes, what let the races very bornig with pratically nothing happening in all the circuit. And, the 2010 cars are not slower than that one of video. Maybe in top speed, but compare the lap times, in a lot of circuits of year the time of 2010 car is the same, or better! Including Monza! The record is 1 sec. faster than better lap of 2010

For all due respect, but whereever you have the information from that pretend to display the vehicle speed in the pop-ups, they're definitely wrong. 1st, Eau Rouge at 0:35 : that's rather 280 kph instead of 313. 2nd, Les Combes at 0:45 : better make that 320 kph tops instead of 346. 3rd, Blanchimont at 1:47 : this is just under 300 kph, but by no means the 340 you mention. still sensational enough, I'd say.

@alinasser4 I still tend to contradict. In this year's Grand Prix, Lewis Hamiltons McLaren was the fastest car on the 'Kemmel' straight, with a top speed of 310 kph. This is the fastest section on the circuit. Suggestion: we both check the displayed telemetry data in next year's qualifying and come back to each other then - agreed?
