The ThroBak is set for a very mild clean volume boost with the gain, treble and bass at noon and the volume at about 1:30. I tried to replicate David's live tones on the 1977 Animals tour.
Hi, Bjorn, does David use Reverb?/ or how much Reverb to use for his solos, seems like you got it , Your playing is so clean and very impressive Thanks,
@TheSquierTech there is ALWAYS reverb in the mix when producing an album.. without reverb, the sound of anything would sound weird and not find its place in "the mix" well.. some reverbs are very subtle and dont have a long tail.. some are only there for example to make it sound like you are in a room or .. outside.. etc.. You don't need reverb on your pedal board.. if you record, add reverb in the mix
@BenjaminMJ For a good example of what no reverb sounds like listen to Gang of Four's "Entertainment!" which was recorded (practically) completely dry, following a brutally minimal post-punk aesthetic. It indeed sounds very weird and out of place. They later reformed, regretted it, recanted and ended up re-recording some of the tracks.
@northeffects Hah! bad choice.. it's mostly lead that will sound out of place.. also i dont think there is much reverb used in deep purple machine head album.. first time i listened to that album, i couldnt stand it because of the sound. now i love it anyway :D
hey man, i was thinking about buy a "red muck pedal", that you had used once in a video... what can you tell me about this one ? there are a lot of difference?
Excellent playing and tone.
