wow - crying right now - they're a great pair - as i always say to people i don't like, people come and go but horses leave hoof prints on your heart. The bond between horse and rider that makes them work as one is called love - zara has got a great chance in 2012 and whatever happens, she's already done her country proud :D xx

No sorry I didn't mean they all did, just a fair few whom she is the same as in that respect. I think the reason she accepted it is so that she can say 'hey I've done this all of my own back'. She doesn't have the 'princess' title that she is entitled too afterall, she just wants to be as equal as everyone else in that respect. Had she used her own privelages, everyone would have said that she was only in the position she is, because of who her family are. And yes, Toytown is very cute xD

Even if she does have the horses and money, she would still need the skill to do what she does and that's what the sportswoman of the year is about. She does do it herself, by using sponsorship and other things.

Thanks, but thats not a fair comment. This sport costs so much money and she has refused to use her status to her advantage. She won Sports Personality of the Year for becoming not only european, but world eventing champion something money can not buy. She's the first royal to accept sponsership - the same way ANY pro equestrian gets far. She's just like any other eventer and just happens to be amazing at her career sure she was lucky to have grown up with horses, but so have many other eventers

Oh my god, these two are amazing. That last jump, especially; I held my breath and I thought Toytown wouldnt make it, but they pulled through. Wow, amazing.

I don't think any of us did, except Zara! Such an honest horse who tries with all his heart. They just have such an amazing and strong partnership! I was watching it on the edge of my seat!

so do you know Zara personally? I respect her even if I've never seen ehr compete, because she does it all on her own and she gets the spotlight from her sports and doesn't lie on the comfort she does have from the royal family

I wish they showed three day eventing in Canada, I'd love to see Zara in action, I love watching show jumping. Horses are amazing animals, so powerful yet graceful. It's too bad she couldn't compete in Beijing

Yeah it is a shame, both her and Toytown deserved too. We're quite lucky in England and get a lot put on tv :)

I love horses, but then I have one so I'm biased :D
