I caught a musky, small one this weekend. 36 inches, 21 girth, but I tried the lip lock technique you show in this video, kept him in the net (livewell) and released him without a hitch. My wife couldnt get the camera to work, so I decided not to worry about it and just release him instead of keeping him out of the water. He was quick to get back to where he came from. success story and another one to catch another day. Mind you, my net sank to the bottom of the river. LOL Thank you!
Excellent video, I always worry about how to handle the bigger ones. Recently caught a musky that I didnt feel comfortable handling, I basically left him in the water, and he broke my line getting away because I felt I would hurt him by netting him or her. After watching this, I will try the lip lock technique and not that I have a large net, I have a good idea how to do it. Thanks a million.
