As for his bowling, he's no Curtly Ambrose but is the only WI bowler in the current crop with a bowling avg on the good side of 30. 16 Tests, 46 wickets @ 30, a better avg than J Anderson or Zaheer Khan. Why the hate?
WI doesn't have the '80s greats now so pace alone isn't everything.

Just on mistake he made against Zimbabwe in that T20 rule him out of West Indies, But they dint realise D Samith had to go over 8 runs an over to win that match for WI. Were Pollard didnt do nothing in that T20 yet people like him more than Smith.
What a stain it is on cricket that Stanford who sponsored this match is now behind bars for fraud. The irony in this is that the English team earned more from this match than the Stanford XI because the Stanford XI has still not been paid for their victory whereas the English team have!
