I never let my kids have open food or candy at halloween. Anything sealed was okay but I had to check all their candy just to make sure it was safe. There are so many sick-o's in this world.

I love making caramel apples for the kids in my neighborhood. I roll them in a variety of coatings, and especially enjoy wrapping them in celophane. I always tie black and orange curl ribbons on them, along with a tag giving the ingredients and my name and phone number, should any parent have concerns. My apples are works of art, and made from the heart, and I'm proud to autograph them and show responsibility for the care and discernment with which they are made.
