Effexor almost put me in the hospital! I c/t Effexor in 2002, yes 2002! And I still have a few w/d from it. I kid you not! I had Anxiety, felt like a electrical storm was zapping my brain every move I made! Depersonalization horribly!, Panic attacks and all kinds of things, It caused me to have Acid Reflux, also motion sickness for the longest! And if you think Effexor is bad, try coming off Klonopin! It is horrific.

I have been on 150mg of effexor for several yrs now. I am trying to come off of it because it raises blood pressure & I am only 28 & have high blood pressure. The withdrawl symptoms have been so intense. I have missed doses before & knew it wouldn't be pleasant but the past couple days have been really bad. The jolts in your brain & anxiety attacks & upset stomach (only to mention a few) are the worst effects I'm dealing with on my end. This is only my third day decreasing the dosage.

Well, sometimes it just takes a few days to kick in I think, but your doctor should have said how long you should be sick, diff for diff ppl though. Ask your doctor and if you are still sick maybe you should request a different medicine.

I love effexor. I was postpartum after having my baby and now I am on effexor and it works great, I am happy with the drug, it put me back into the swing of life and improved my marriage

the therapeutic dosage for effexor is 150mg 1 time daily. Your headaches are related to withdrawal of Effexor. You will often experience head zingers, or a buzzing type feeling, especially when moving your head. Hopefully your side effects will not last too long where you were not taking the full dosage. Effexor should never and I repeat never be stopped cold turkey

I weened off of it and now I'm having paniac attacks. I believe it is addictive. I have horrible chest pains and now I have to go back on it.
