@Jacare1973 if the motor would fit in the frame and the pipe fits on with out to much moddin to the frame it should and that would be a sweet hybrid. but it might cost ya it you take it to a shop. i dont know anybody that would do it but it would be insane to ride
@1991tommygun the zilla has way more usable power, the banshee is on or off, they have no trq what so ever. you can rip a wheelie on a zilla at like 2000rpms, banshee more like 7000rpm at least.

@1991tommygun ive got a zilla, the big blow up problem was do to the piston thrust washers breaking, its a 20 dollar fix. and they are met for race gas even stock, thats the other problem.. the reason why i mentioned rpm is bc the less Rs u turn the more engine life u get. a zilla built right gets twice the ring life is the 450s and even more then that of a banshee. its just nice to have upper power comparable to a banshee and still have the low of a 700raptor

It's easy to build a reliable zilla without spending much cash. Banshees are fun but are slow in stock form and i disagree about the duens. Nothing is better than duning on a 500. I've had two banshees bought brand new. By the time you get through jetting the carbs to run equally from a new mod you are putting another mod on it cause its not fast enough. Love a banshee but alot of trouble and two of everything including headaches.

I have a lt250r the littler brother of quadziilia.My friend has a Banshee 2003 with fmf exhuast. I have 40 weisco piston Boysen reeds fmf exhaust.. I can out run his Banshee.It is all about how much money you have and also who has the biggest balls on the 4 wheelers. Also my dads friend has a banshee thats crazy fast.He is the biggest Banshee fan in the world and he owned alot of them. He even says that the Quadzillia was the badest of the bad when they we all made.

when he says blaster 250 hes saying blaster bored out to 250 probably with vitos big bore kit. blaster arent nearley as powerful without the big bore kit ive rode both and the bore kit makes a huge difference

@deafow depends what you are doing.drag racing wise,yes thats correct.but I have a zilla and a 250r, and use the 250r wayy more.handling is the best ever on the R.step dad,uncle,and friend all have banshees.good for drag racing if you put a lot of money in them. but my 250r is 330 and it beats built banshees in drags and stuff.never actually raced zilla but mines stock except for the pipe and my R will beat it.

I own a 1987 250 quadracer and a 1987 500 quadzilla. my 250 is modified and I blaze on stock banshees all day but my buddys 700 raptor is stock and he out runs me on top end. mainly cause of my gearing but nontheless he still has me. I know this bucause 2 guys we ride with have stock banshees with the exception of aftermarket head pipes and muffler

also hagarheadou812, by running your cr250 super rich u will preserve ur head but you are also robbing it of alot of power. not to mention , depending on how rich you are running it, I bet your blowing thru spark plugs. if you keep your air filter clean and run 40:1 ratio it will still last forever and you will gain more power and won't leave a smoke trail wherever u go
@wq1299 u must have ur carb running too rich probably needs rejetting. take ur spark plug out and look at the tip it should be black at the base and where it curves in the middle it should be grey all the wat to the end. if it is black further to the end then it is running rich
I love how everybody don't know WTF their talking about. quadzillas alway have since 87 been a 6 speed. 250 quadracers were 5 speeds only on the 85 and 86 models then they changed to 6 speeds as well. a stock banshee will never outrun a stock zilla nor will a stock banshee outrun a 700 raptor although the 660 is questionable. a stock 250 quadracer is comparable to a stock 400ex.
@craziebastid Zilla's are NOT 6 speed. They have ALWAYS been 5 speed. If you really owned a zilla you would know that they have 5 speed transmissions.
Stock for stock the zilla is faster... You can't argue it, the Banshee is a twin 350 and the zilla is a 500. Now start modding them and its a different story. And the fact that zilla's blow up every 10 hours lol
They had head gasket problems. Also since its such a big engine there is alot of vibration, so you have to check your bolts often.They go though top ends quick to. Parts can be hard to find also, since it's such an old quad. Honestly it's not that bad reliability, i wouldnt let it deter you from buying one, they will walk over banshee's all day in a drag race like in this video. As long as you maintain it, your zilla should last a long time.
you run your fuel super rich in oil and it'll also preserve the engine. I have a stock CR250R (03') and i've never had an engine rebuild and all i ride is desert, screaming it wide open on dirt roads. Bike still runs the same the day it was new.
stock banshee isnt that powerful i tried one when i had my 440ex and i didnt really find it too powerful compared to my bike... mine was really modifed haha

@deafow depends what you are doing.drag racing wise,yes thats correct.but I have a zilla and a 250r, and use the 250r wayy more.handling is the best ever on the R.step dad,uncle,and friend all have banshees.good for drag racing if you put a lot of money in them. but my 250r is 330 and it beats built banshees in drags and stuff.never actually raced zilla but mines stock except for the pipe and my R will beat it.

Add a filter and no lid or no box theres aronund 3-5 and a port job will give it ALOT more balls. I own a banshee and we have kx500s mods on the banshees just wake them up way more. Dollar for dollar their always gonna win..

I own a 1987 250 quadracer and a 1987 500 quadzilla. my 250 is modified and I blaze on stock banshees all day but my buddys 700 raptor is stock and he out runs me on top end. mainly cause of my gearing but nontheless he still has me. I know this bucause 2 guys we ride with have stock banshees with the exception of aftermarket head pipes and muffler

also hagarheadou812, by running your cr250 super rich u will preserve ur head but you are also robbing it of alot of power. not to mention , depending on how rich you are running it, I bet your blowing thru spark plugs. if you keep your air filter clean and run 40:1 ratio it will still last forever and you will gain more power and won't leave a smoke trail wherever u go

@wq1299 u must have ur carb running too rich probably needs rejetting. take ur spark plug out and look at the tip it should be black at the base and where it curves in the middle it should be grey all the wat to the end. if it is black further to the end then it is running rich

I love how everybody don't know WTF their talking about. quadzillas alway have since 87 been a 6 speed. 250 quadracers were 5 speeds only on the 85 and 86 models then they changed to 6 speeds as well. a stock banshee will never outrun a stock zilla nor will a stock banshee outrun a 700 raptor although the 660 is questionable. a stock 250 quadracer is comparable to a stock 400ex.

They had head gasket problems. Also since its such a big engine there is alot of vibration, so you have to check your bolts often.They go though top ends quick to. Parts can be hard to find also, since it's such an old quad. Honestly it's not that bad reliability, i wouldnt let it deter you from buying one, they will walk over banshee's all day in a drag race like in this video. As long as you maintain it, your zilla should last a long time.

you run your fuel super rich in oil and it'll also preserve the engine. I have a stock CR250R (03') and i've never had an engine rebuild and all i ride is desert, screaming it wide open on dirt roads. Bike still runs the same the day it was new.
