Gore's remark in the subsequent parts of this conversation about awaiting post-mortem renumeration for his troubles in life tickled me. Buckley was a charmer too. There was on his part a quiet resignation toward his own mortality. To sleep was bliss. Men's views may differ but their certain extinction is uniform. Pause to light a candle for these mighty hearts.
