The GW game that I enjoyed the most was Warhammer Quest, some friends & I played that until 2am one time. That was retired when I was just getting into it.
Price wise GW went downhill (or uphill depending on perspective;) when they re-tool the Space Marines, you look at a Tactical Squad today and it's £20!! I remember when they were originally release at £10 - so every time I think I want some Space Marines, I have to remember they are twice the price they should be.
First of all, Warmachine is NOT cheaper - start up cost may be, but it is not cheaper. The thing that GW has suffered from is too many editions, it is that simple. Chris - the Chaos Knights are new, but the warriors have been out a few years. And it's not that I like to watch people work - I like to watch while I am assembling things as well. Kind of like putting minis (or painting) with a friend. :)
Nope. There's 2 of us officially on staff. Then there are 2 other people that work on commission basis, my camera guy for the Let's Paint videos and our editor.
GW had its time to shine in the '90s but I think Privateer Press will one day come out on top; I don't want to see that happen. I like both games (Warmachines and 40K) but Warmachines is soooooooo much cheaper, and the models are of much higher quality than GW's.

I don't really frequent Ebay so I'm talking out of my ass here, but could it be that there has been an increase in competition on Ebay?
Anyway, great chat Chris.
On to part 2 =D
