I think too, because she was to good in Ab Ke Baras(Nominated as Best debut Female), Ishq Vishk, Masti, Main Hoon Na (Nominated), Athidi, Vivah. She is a good actress and that is true. But down to earth and a nice to human.
i wouldnt like to say anything about award here, but amrita has got natural acting skills, ability same like madhuri, urmila. definitely she will get ahead soon, wish u all the best amrita.
Honestly, I am shocked to see that she has received such a prestigious award for a slightly above average role in Vivah. Did she really deserve it? I did not find her performance out of the world in Vivah, certainly not worth an award of this calibre.
give her a filmfare or something NOT A DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD man.... wat the hell... u think she is as good as dilip kumar or jitendra.... come on... give me a BREAK...

Actually, that year a few movies got lime light and this was one of it. I guess they decided for her based on the quality of other women roles.
