To tell you the truth guys, as long as Warner Brothers continue with the directive they have it will be difficult to compete against Marvel. I dont know what they are doing. The Superman Doomsday movie was suppose to be released in between 2006-2008 in the direction or production with Tim Burton and the sketches were great.

Why does everybody say Tom Welling should be the new Superman? He's good for the Super Boy type, but he's no fit Superman! I actually think Brandon Routh did a nice job as Superman. It was his first film and he did pretty well for what he was given!
I think they should buff up Brandon Routh a little and give him the role again. His acting has probably much improved since the last film and with (rumored) the two Nolan brothers working on the film, it will be probably turn out great!
People think Tom Welling should be the new Superman because of how he is now (season 10), not how played Clark as an immature teen years ago. Now that we see him actually be the familiar Clark Kent (ie. the glasses-wearing reporter w/ Lois Lane) and being a proper superhero on the side in Smallville, you can clearly imagine how fantastic he'd be as a full-fledged Supes if given the chance.

@UntiedShoes22 I agree that the cape doesn't fit Tom Welling for my tastes. He's good on tv, but not for the big screen. Routh did a good job with what he was given. In my opinion Singer didn't take the franchise to the next level as he should have. Instead he made Superman 2.5 and left us all wanting more than what he gave us. I say give Routh another chance with a better script, a different villain, bring it forward out of the 70's, and get rid of his son!

Guys and Girls if they made a DVD movie menu like that Superman:Doomsday everyone would be in line for this one. They borrowed, from "Superman Returns" in 2006 and "The Incredible Hulk" for Doomsday's image and appearance in the film. Looks good I would have Kevin Spacey in it as Lex Luthor, Hulk Hogan in a Doomsday bodysuit for the Kryptonian villain Doomsday. Brandon Routh will be the DC Comics Metropolis hero Superman himself saving the world and stopping Lex Luthor's plot and Doomsday too.
What I hope happens, when Smallville is over, they still do tv movies as a sort of continuity. Like they do the whole death and return of Superman (only he fights a more monstrous looking Doomsday since he was buried for a while and no longer connected with Davis Bloome) and they do a justice league film that includes Batman, WW, and GL.
You know what I'd like to see? A movie series (trilogy at the least) based around the events of Superman's death and return. 1st movie, Death, 2nd movie, Reign, 3rd movie, Return. Why? because that story was the most exciting read in comic book history, and someone, somewhere, needs to do it justice.

Why does everybody say Tom Welling should be the new Superman? He's good for the Super Boy type, but he's no fit Superman! I actually think Brandon Routh did a nice job as Superman. It was his first film and he did pretty well for what he was given!
I think they should buff up Brandon Routh a little and give him the role again. His acting has probably much improved since the last film and with (rumored) the two Nolan brothers working on the film, it will be probably turn out great!

People think Tom Welling should be the new Superman because of how he is now (season 10), not how played Clark as an immature teen years ago. Now that we see him actually be the familiar Clark Kent (ie. the glasses-wearing reporter w/ Lois Lane) and being a proper superhero on the side in Smallville, you can clearly imagine how fantastic he'd be as a full-fledged Supes if given the chance.

@Anoush13 i agree with Brandon Routh being given chance again but Tom Welling would be perfect Superman, he his great built, perfect height, his expression is second to none plus he is very good looking, overall he should have been the superman. i bet u next year wen superman comes out it wil be major flop. to play superman u have to understand the character indepth and tom welling did that for 10years.

To all who think that Tom Welling makes a great Superman...there is a reason why any smuck can't become a movie producer (maybe a porno) but seriously he does not fit the adult role of a 30 Year Old Clark Kent, if they did a Super Boy movie where he spends the whole movie contemplating on who to take to the prom, and uses his super powers to finish a math test, then sure Welling is fine for that, but to say he passes for a grown man...not a chance

@UntiedShoes22 I agree that the cape doesn't fit Tom Welling for my tastes. He's good on tv, but not for the big screen. Routh did a good job with what he was given. In my opinion Singer didn't take the franchise to the next level as he should have. Instead he made Superman 2.5 and left us all wanting more than what he gave us. I say give Routh another chance with a better script, a different villain, bring it forward out of the 70's, and get rid of his son!

but the reason superman return didnt do too well which should have hit 700 mil minimum is because everybody thought tom welling was perfect fit, erica durance was also was the best lois lane ever and michael roenbaum difinantly displayed the true lex luther, which gene hackman and kevin spacey couldnt do even thou they were acdamy award winners!

@bigheadedm first thing, not everyone thought Tom Welling would be perfect, just Smallville fans second, no way you can be honest with yourself and say that he would pass off as a 30 Year old...third, if you were logical, you'd understand that it's very difficult to get in depth with an actor's character in 1/2 movies which it is far easier to do in 5+ grueling season of that trash you call Smallville, of course they seems like better actors, they've built their characters over many episodes

The movie would definitely draw more fans if they used Tom Welling. I guarantee the movie would not flop if Tom Welling played Superman on the big screen.

Guys and Girls if they made a DVD movie menu like that Superman:Doomsday everyone would be in line for this one. They borrowed, from "Superman Returns" in 2006 and "The Incredible Hulk" for Doomsday's image and appearance in the film. Looks good I would have Kevin Spacey in it as Lex Luthor, Hulk Hogan in a Doomsday bodysuit for the Kryptonian villain Doomsday. Brandon Routh will be the DC Comics Metropolis hero Superman himself saving the world and stopping Lex Luthor's plot and Doomsday too.

What I hope happens, when Smallville is over, they still do tv movies as a sort of continuity. Like they do the whole death and return of Superman (only he fights a more monstrous looking Doomsday since he was buried for a while and no longer connected with Davis Bloome) and they do a justice league film that includes Batman, WW, and GL.

You know what I'd like to see? A movie series (trilogy at the least) based around the events of Superman's death and return. 1st movie, Death, 2nd movie, Reign, 3rd movie, Return. Why? because that story was the most exciting read in comic book history, and someone, somewhere, needs to do it justice.
