Praying to Mary or patron saints are IDOLATRY because they are DEAD.
Acts 10:42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the DEAD.
2 Timothy 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the DEAD, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:
1 Peter 4:5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the DEAD.
@johnthreesixteen316 Did you watch the video from 3:36 onward. 1 Tim 2:1-4 tells Timothy to offer prayers for others. Paul is not saying Timothy is another mediator. As a Christian, Timothy is part of the body of Christ, the One Mediator. His prayers are part of Christ's mediation. They do not stop now that he is in heaven and even closer to God (see Rev. 5:8 -- @ 5:06 in the video).
@BosMutusCatholic Hello friend. There is nothing wrong with asking the 'living' to pray for us. The problem is when we ask the dead to pray on our behalf. The Bible clearly forbids communicating with the dead. Besides, the dead know nothing......Ecclesiastes 9:5 "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten."
@johnthreesixteen316 That can't be what Eccl means. Jesus communicated with the dead (Moses and Elijah) when he was transfigured (Mt 17:3), so they knew something. Jesus preached to the dead (1 Peter 3:19). Paul says the saints surround us as a cloud (Heb 12:1). In Rev. 6:9 the souls those martyred for God ask when their blood will be avenged, and they are told to be patient. In Rev. 5:8, twenty-four elders present the prayers of holy ones to God, so those in heaven pray for others, the living.
MOM'S ORIGINAL SIN was ERASED by DAD, not JESUS CHRIST. If MOM HAS NO ORIGINAL SIN, MOM HAS NO PERSONAL SINS: MOM IS IMMACULATE. MOM'S ONLY DUTY IS to ERASE our ORIGINAL SINS. Our PERSONAL SINS MUST BE ONLY ERASED by DAD. In Particular cases, DAD CAN PERSONALLY DO IT, generally, DAD WOULDN'T PERSONALLY DO IT, but THROUGH DAD'S Beloved Representative Ones like JESUS CHRIST. THESE TWO THINGS our SALVATION DEPENDS ON. DAD and MOM WILL DETERMINE our ETERNITY. Be THEIR GOOD KIDS. GOOD LUCK & THANKS
Jesus is not a mediator. He's our God, He's our King, He's our Savior. I'm a living witness of Mary's mediation. Our Lady brought me to Christ. Jesus said a tree is recognized by its fruit (Matthew 12:33). As the first christian, Our Lady brings us to having faith in JESUS. This is the best fruit ever, isn't it?

THE DEAD KNOW NOTHING!!!
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, 12:7, Job 7:10, Jeremiah 22:10, Psalms 6:5, 115:17, 146:4. 1 Timothy 2:5 says there is a ONE mediator, Jesus!!! Blasphemy!
