  • i think its great that u guys are taking the initiative to educate the youngest generation on gay marriage. whenever i hear the opposition against gay marriage speak i am reminded of the Jim Crowe Laws. we must remember that separate IS NOT equal. keep up the good work

  • Here's not just to Gov Lynch, but to our Legislature who voted for it, thank you!

  • To DEPFOX: Is that your family? That is awsome!!! I think it's great to see people teaching children about this.... I think it's history in the making.. 50 years from now everyone will look back on this and say "wow, that was really stupid".. I'm gay, and 24 years old, and live in new hampshire.. We've been fighting for this for a good couple years now, and I think it's great!!! I hope to have a family someday like yours!!! Good luck in California!!!!!

  • To Ma7799: I think it's hypocritical that all these religious people are the ones that are JUDGING other people, when it clearly states in your bible that You are not suppose to judge other people, God is!! So I think it's ironic that all the religious people that have hatred towards gay people and gay marraige don't even realize that they are the ones being hypocrites!!!

  • The WESTBORO Baptist Church will be picketing the County Clerk's office in Concord on the morning of January 4, 2010 with their antigay signs especially. Consider their signs as weapons, boys!

  • @PatrioticBlonde: Please , those Westboro Baptist Church members are nuts. They not only picket at LGBT people, but also in the funeral of the militant who fight for this country and die.

And it's totally that freaking pastor Fred Phelps's fault . He brainwashed his daughters and now his grandchildren with hatred to be separated from this world's society . How stupid is that

I'm glad that they are banned from entering U.K

  • There is something very hypocritical about a gay couple praying to God.....

  • I totally agree with you! Gay people should be smarter and just be athiests. They are just teaching their children the same religious, supposed values that all the other jesus freaked homophobes are teaching their children. What happend to values that come from the heart?

  • God isn't guilty for the atrocities that say and do all that bunch of cynics who will attribute his representation on earth. The church and its leaders are one thing, and God is other. Greetings from Spain.

  • Ma7799, you're a fuckhead. And an asshat.

  • Typical rebellious immature quote from a marriage "equality" activist. New Hampshire will wake up and overturn this when the people vote on it.

  • Time to ban DIVORCE in New Hampshire as well as California. BAN DIVORCE - IT HARMS CHILDREN MORE THAN HETEROSEXUALS!

  • @ma7799 There is something very hypocritcial about religious people judging other people... I thought it said in the bible that god is the only one that's suppose to judge

  • gays are responsible for everything, even tho the world's ruled by straight men/religion, gays somehow are to blame for all the worlds problems, children are always at the forefront of the argument against equality for gays, but wars hunger poverty kills millions children yearly, straight men begin these actions which kill children, so tell me again who do children need to be protected from, and remember that GOD is watching you and GOD is not about hate and lies

  • I hope Prop 8 will fail in 2010

  • me too NO on Prop 8! Equality!

  • How can it fail? The people voted on it.

  • California legislature passed it twice, but Arnold was too much of a coward to sign it.

Then California wouldn't have the shame of Prop 8. But it does, and they will repeal it soon.

Marriage Equality is an American Value.

  • i hope new york will be next, ireland is having civil partnership in law by xmas, this maybe for now but i hope it will evolve to full civil marriage status in time, i have hope on that

  • The bible is not against homosexuality there are parts that are. the same parts that are against eating shell fish and wearing certain clothes. Being gay is as natural as you being straight. I dont need to read books written by bigoted authers to know about myself.

  • Sorry, I'm going to have to put this in a message :)

Comment debating is just so unorganized for me

  • The specific passage that you refered to is against certain homosexual activities, not homosexuals themselves. And the reason that passage is in there is to prevent the "wasting" of sperm. Jews thought that sperm supply was limited, and had a dream of spreading their genes, hence, it would be a waste to engage in such activities. It was also a crime to masturbate or ejaculate anywhere except a womans vagina. That is why that passage is in there, not because "god hates homosexuals"

  • God certainly doesn't hate homosexuals. He may hate what they're doing, but God loves everyone(John 3:16; 1 John 2:2; Rom. 5:8).

The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). 1 Cor. 6:9 proclaims that homosexual offenders will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Lev. 18:22 was a bit opaque and indirect, but these passages certainly back it up. Even if what you claim is true(which I'm not saying it isn't)

  • christianpreachr - some mysterious NON existant sky god doesn't care what people do with thier hoo-hoos and pee-pees...we r but a tiny spec in the HUGE Universe...Open your mind.

  • So if you stoped having sex with females do you stop being heterezexuale?

  • I lol'd. I understand what you're saying, and I know what I'm thinking, I just can't articulate it. But touche, dpefox, touche.

  • "Being gay is as natural as you being straight"

Just keep telling yourself that; maybe someday you will feel better about yourself.....maybe....

  • IT's great to come out of the closet. Its the best feeling LOL its literally GAY! WOO HOO!!! YOu should try it and hopefully you will feel better about yourself LMAO!

  • @depfox the bible is clearly against homosexuality.

  • @joesixpacker SHUT UP

  • Can you please explain how same-sex marriage hurts homosexuals themselves? And by the way, the passage in leviticus only refers to a man and a man engaging in sexual intercourse, do you believe then that the bible is only against gay men, and not gay women?

  • No, Romans 1:26-27 says that "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men aslo abandoned natural..." Lev. 18:22 doesn't necessarily mean that ONLY men-men is detestable, it just mentioned men-men. Surely, by looking at this passage alone, women-women would be just as detestable.

And znikkisan, I'll send you a message on how same-sex marriage hurts homosexuals themselves.

    Have a good one!

  • New Hampshire, a traditionally very conservative state, voted in favour of same-sex marriage. California, usually the rather avant-garde of the states, votes against same-sex marriage right after passing it! And California was one of the biggest players in electing Obama, under banners of "change" and "equality". All the more shame on California for passing Prop 8.

Love to your whole family from NH, my home state.

  • Thanks LadyTigerLily! We are very happy for the people of NH. Now to keep to keep that flame burning and pass it along

  • I have hope for New York. When I get back to college, I'll be back on the turf to gear up against prop 8. Most of my family lives in NorCal, while much of my campaign efforts have been from my college in LA. It's a whole different world down there. But determination and hope are some of our strongest weapons. Here's to keeping up the good fight!

  • Yeah 6 states! I'm so glad your kids get to see this, that it's legal, somewhere.Oh and show then Canada, it was legalized across the whole country in one day!

  • Notice how all straight men that are secure with their own sexuality don't use the "f" word, you faceless coward.

  • well said

  • Yay for NH!!! :D

    Now when's it Minnesota's turn? :)

  • I hope soon

  • he has never been teased about having gay fathers he has been teased about his drug related medical problems caused by his bio mother.

  • I live in canada where evry one is = you should move here and be happy ^_^ you can get marryed here and have kids and have all the same rights strait ppl have 100% here in canada most ppl wont know you as gay but as you.. I LOVE CANADA

  • we tried a few years back we dont qualify Canada has a very hard emigration policies ;O(

  • imigration, imigrants come, emigrants leave.

  • just look at that...HMMMMMMMMM

    WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY..

I WISH ALL THE BESST FOR YOU..

  • lol, the kid (the boy )seems so uncomfortable. lol, you shouldn't make kids answer questions on camera. T_T, i would wet my pants. i guess im just weaksauce, i wonder if your kid was nervous lol.

  • MY son usely is a ham. He actually asked this time if he could start the video he wanted to start by talking about his arm. Then when I ask him questions he freezes up. Guess thats being a kid. The funny thing is he goes to a school of the arts and does the same thing in plays.

  • oh well, kids will be kids.

  • Guys, the east coast ain't so bad where i live in PA. there is a hope that S/S marriage will pass legislation. we will C. Maby I won't have to explain my 30 state strategy. but. if you wanna hear it let me know.

    peace

    rob

  • sure what is it

  • Jay & Brian, your videos really serve a purpose of showing that our families are just like everyone else's families. I'm letting people know they should check out your site. Keep up the good work, and congrats on having such a wonderful family.

  • Thank you for the nice words

  • This made my heart melt. It also made me show religious friends this video to prove to them the dichotomy of the world and not just the LGBT community. Keep posting the wonderful videos and spreading reality. Peace.

  • lets call it Marriage Equality! I hate it called "Gay Marriage"

  • I agree! The license wouldn't say "gay marriage" on it.

  • It is a gay state....ha ha!!!

  • AWESOME !!

    Gaygreetings,

    Holebis ♥♂♂,♀♀♥

  • Holebis, Belgium, shouldnt you be asleep my neighbour, its late :) Greetings from Holland.:-)

  • go ahead CALIFORNIA! :D

  • YAY CALIFORNIA

  • Every time you guys put up a new video you make my day :)

  • Thank you ;O)

  • Hi Friends! I am a little confused here. How come these states are allowing gay marriage right and left without voting, while California has to vote? This is ridiculous. Equal Rights For All! If someone could answer this question, I would appreciate it.

  • The way it works it you can get gay marriage one of three ways. 1. vote by the people 2. Polititians put it into office. 3. works its way thru the courts. Voters can pass a gay marriage law that is alomst imposible to get. courts can rule that gay marriage is protected under the constitution. Like CA the court ruled that it was an equale rights issue. and allowed gay marriage. The voters changed the constituiton to exsclude gays. And the polititians vote it in like New Hampshire.

  • Because those states hadn't had ballot initiatives stating that marriage would only be recognized between a man and a woman. Their legislative bodies voted on it. I believe in some of those states the public could vote to have it removed, but different states work in different ways.

  • Thank you for your reply. Is it too late for California to do the same thing as New Hampshire? Or have we started down a different path that we can't get off of? I live in Southern California and worked hard on the "No on 8" campaign, I am talking blood, sweat and tears!, I got hit by a rock on a main intersection :-( while campaigning! I am a 50 year old Grandmother who prays that if my infant Grandson or Grandaughter is gay, they will have EQUAL RIGHTS! I will fight till I die for this cause

  • it is to late they changed our constitution to limit marriage between only a man and a women ;o(

  • Ok, now I hear ya. You know when Prop. 8 went to the California Supreme Court I had this thought as to what the Justices had to decide. They had to decide if a majority can take away the rights of a minority? How come we didn't handle it like New Hampshire right from the get go?

  • phillipmarch22, the CA legislature DID legalize same sex marriage in 2005 and again in 2007, but the Republican Governator Ahnold vetoed it each time. There weren't enough votes in the legislature to override that veto. CA's constitution can be amended by a simple majority vote of the voters but can't be REVISED without 1st. passing the legislature. What the CA Supremes were deciding was whether Prop. 8 was an amendment or a revision. They decided it was a legal amendment.

  • Right, I remember Prop. 22r, then that was overturned then about 18,000 couples got married, then Prop. 8, then that was not overturned recently. Ok, my question is I don't believe the population of New Hampshire had to vote on anything in the first place. If I am correct in my last statement, can California do the same thing New Hampshire did? Thanks!

  • No, the CA legislature cannot override a constitutional amendment, and that's what we have now that the CA Supremes have upheld Prop. 8. We intend to get another ballot initiative on the ballot in 2010 that would rescind Prop. 8 and hopefully restore same sex marriage to CA once and for all. It's utterly absurd that a progressive state like CA has reversed itself on such a critical issue, thanks to a very organized and untruthful campaign on the part of religious fanatics.

  • We also need to revise the procedure by which the CA Constitution can be amended. The rights of minority groups should not be placed in a position where they can be taken away by a very small simple majority of voters. Unfortunately, too many people vote their prejudices, and most states have more safeguards built into their processes for changing state constitutions. I was really surprised when I learned how easily our state constitution could be changed. This is wrong.

  • New Hampshire didn't have a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage, so the legislature there could just pass a change in the state law legalizing it. Constitutional issues are much more complicated.

  • You are by far the 4 coolest people I have never met :)

  • Blush

  • Marriage is a commitment of love & trust between 2 people. As long as you're a 'people' I see no problem =) God Bless.

  • Hi Guys just recently subscribed to your videos I think its awesome. If you do come to NYC please feel free to look me up.

  • Cool im guessing you are a cop by your name? We can trade war stories.

  • That's right, shame on California, but I'm so pleased that another state joined you.

Pretty soon all will fall in line. Major changes are comming this year

  • Another great video! Yet another state legalized. It's so awesome! Love the red walls by the way. Wish Andreas would let me paint the rooms a more interesting color.

  • HEHE my neighbrors are complaining about the outside of our house.

  • They don't like the fact that it's painted in all the colors of the rainbow flag?? :-)

  • Also, I love how your family seems far more well-rounded than the "correct" family of a "mommy and a daddy." You and your partner are setting a great precedent. Congrats! Also, kudos to NY Gov. David Paterson for somewhat lobbying to have gay marriage legalized.

  • I love that more states are open to gay rights. It's only a few states thus far, but which is better: some or none? It'll be allowed in all states without a doubt, and I can't wait to see that, even though I have zero intent to ever get married.

  • Eventually every state will honour gay marriage.

  • We hope! But don't hold your breath. Mississippi didn't ratify the 14th. Amendment freeing the slaves until the 1990s, and Utah still has its sodomy laws on the books despite the fact that the US Supreme Court struck those down in Lawrence v. Texas. More than 20 states would have to rescind their constitutional amendments banning same sex marriage for this to happen.

  • great video .. Keep making more !!! Grts NH!!! I couldn't wait to get married in NY thats why I came to Germany... Hugs

  • Could someone PLEASE tell me what is so scary about this wonderful family eating breakfast and being legally bound together? Because I think I'm smart, but I sure don't get how allowing these men to be a family is harming my marriage. Srsly, other than reminding me we should be eating more meals at the table....

  • nah tables are over rated :-) couchs are the new table lol

  • Haha I was afraid you were gonna spell out "Hampshire." So many letters...

  • We where then I said scew it LOL

  • Go New Hampshire!

    This is great news!

    6 down, 44 to go! =)

If only the west coast could join....

  • Congratulations New Hampshire! Someday California will recognize equality. =.(

    Your family is beautiful.

  • Congratulations Danile for getting your cast taken off!!

I love watching your videos - and I'm thrilled to hear you're traveling to the East Coast to visit all of the states that have legalized gay marriage :).

  • so when is our movie coming out :O)

    Sean Chaplin Director

  • I would love to

  • That looks like a normal, healthy, happy family to me! Who sits at the breakfast table as a family these days?? I'm jealous! Dr. Laura would be so proud!! You guys (and sweet little gal) have a great time on your travels!

  • Im actually a fan of Dr. laura ;O) dont booo me Bryan cant stand her

  • I'm about to be a WAHM, and one of the reasons is I agree with Dr. Laura on that.

  • You're a fan of a woman who called gay people "biological errors"???

  • really who?

  • Dr. Laura Schlesinger said that, and it stirred up quite a bit of controversy at the time. BTW, Jay, her Ph.D. is not in psychology; it's in biology, I think. She converted to orthodox Judaism, so all of her pronouncements about gay people have been strongly colored by her fundamentalist religious beliefs. That's why Paramount Studios was picketed in Hollywood to keep her proposed TV show off the air. It worked. She is definitely NOT a friend to gay people!

  • I think Dr Laura is starting to come around on gay marriage and gay rights I have listend to he rfor years and she has compasionetly suported young gay people that have come out on the show. Recently she was on lary king and wouldnt say she is against gay marriage. that might not be suoport but at least she is trying to get more prestige at our exspense.

  • If you want more detail, Jay, you can check her out on Wikipedia.

  • I am so happy :D

  • Yay New Hampshire!!! It's crazy how it feels like it's one state a month now. I hear my home state of Maryland is considering same sex marriage now...let's keep our fingers crossed! Thanks for the heads up on your video, I thought I had subscribed already but I guess I didn't, but I'm doing it now cuz I don't want to miss any of your great videos!

  • You sooo know how to make a guy happy ;o)

  • This is WONDERFUL!

I say both as a Christian and an open homosexual. Way to promote equality and spirituality in your lovely home =)

  • We can be bolth so many gay people think they cant embrace God and thats propably the Christian Rights biggest SiN

  • Amen

  • Thank you for inviting me to breakfast! :) Yeah Jesus!!! Yeah New Hampshire! I'm so excited! Yeah gay marriage!!! :)

  • It's interesting how all the bigots stay under their rocks when there is a victory for marriage equality. To the bigots: CHOKE ON IT, YOU WILL LOOSE IN THE END! :)

  • Hmm would love to get a fight match with some of the peeps commenting on some of my other videos ;O)

  • Yaaaay New Hampshire!

  • ALRIGHT!!! WOOT WOOT!, what if i get married to NH and I got back here in CA am i considered married?

  • sadly no the only marriages rec now in CA are the 18000 performed during that short window

  • :-)

  • Im glad Bryan feels a lot better after feeling bad because of the courts decision. I laughed seeing Selena trying to pray with her hands, really cute and Daniel to feel free to do what he wants again now. Great plan to travel to the east coast, and to NYC, its fantastic!

Congrats to New Hampshire!! Great news. x

  • In ocy we are going to go to the march on wash event might as well stop by the states that know what family is all about

  • depfox, wish I could go to the march, I'd love it, and to meet you guys and all, but it would be a transatlantic trip for me :). I might fly to NYC next year though, and if I had a driverslicence, visit several eastcoast states, they are my favorites. Im a little jealous. Get the chance if you can, Im sure it will also feel good to be in places where youre accepted by state ,silly thing to say maybe, but it feels so much different, as Im sure you experienced in Cali before prop 8 was upheld. x

  • send your prayers

  • Hang in there guys. My family is fighting in IL as well. We will get there and your videos and my videos will make the world wake up to the reality that our love is equal and so should our marriages be. Hugs, Chaz

  • wooot ooo happy about the news :)

your husband is a sweet heart.

    wooot for us!!

  • Beautiful family. Keep smiling. :-)

  • Well that's good to hear, Jay, that New Hampshire has a view for your cause. By the way, nice home decor you have there in your dining room.

  • thanks dining room still needs some work

  • We are happy for your victory! Eventually the entire country will be for you and your rights!

  • Awesome.

Now after RI follows suit (not if, but when), every New England state will allow same-sex marriage. That is a pretty forward thinking section of the country.

  • Hmm not sure RI is on track with gay marriage to bad.

  • liknital07:

Ahhhh the smell of freedom, progress and maturity!

    P.S. Greeting and Salutations.

  • cont::

but seriously, if not today then tomorrow! We'll all see where the wind blows.

    P.S. Greetings..

  • congrats getting your cast off, daniel

  • Good to see some sense from some States. Hugs from Manchester, UK!

  • depfox:

Now that is fantastic news, depfox, but lets not celebrate just yet, there is still a lot of work to do against De facto segregation and jim crows' laws that attempts to re-establish on every state by the "Self-claim christians", but with a different target. The terms use in Jim Crow's law were against afro-americans back then, the seperations of classes, which now "homosexuals" have being put through. Plessy V. Furgoson, Heard V. Railroad Co... etc.

    P.S. Greetings and Salutations

  • I agree we have a lot of work ahead of us but hey 6 states arnt bad for a year

  • depfox:

Agreed, and now would be a good time to get all the information and support needed to convince every court, attorney, congress and every other gov branch that Prop8 and any other Prop past and present or future that looks unconstitutional is no different to the practice of Jim Crows laws.

    P.S. Greetings and salutations.

  • YAY NH!!! we <3 you

  • What a nice family tradition! Great video!

  • im really happy to hear this. i don't live in nh but hope my state follows suit.

come on America, no more bigotry.

  • Congratulations New Hampshire for doing whats just and moral.

  • congrats to NH :) Horray, 6 down, 44 to go.

Prop 8 needs to go away. I can't believe how Cali is that far behind the east coast on this one.

I don't know why you guys are religious though, it seems quite odd. No offense.

  • Not sure why its odd We belive that all people need to find thier conection or lack of for themselfs. Im glad you like the videos.

  • well the bible condemns homosexuality, I don't believe in the bible so I don't care what it condemns or not. but if you believe in the bible I don't know how you can reconcile it. I knew a gay kid in high school who committed suicide over religious conflict with homosexuality. Because of that experience, I could never be Christian.

    Spirituality can be good though...

  • I'm religious and I believe in gay marriage!!! :)

  • well my primary beefs with religion mostly revolve around misogyny and homophobia. but I also don't understand how a god could create all of humany with the intent to torture the majority for "sins".

  • I think misogyny and homophobia are the real sins here! I know the Bible has some negative things in it, but I just believe in Jesus/God, so maybe I'm not that religious, but more spiritual. I do pick and choose what I believe, I don't take it all in one lump, but I try not to throw out the baby along with the bath water, as they say. I respect everyone's beliefs or lack of beliefs. :)

  • well, that's cool. I just honestly don't believe in Christianity. It doesn't make sense to me. God sent himself to earth in human form to perform a blood sacrifice so that instead of accepting personal responsibility for one's actions, one can just pray to Jesus for forgiveness and have impunity, while those who believe differently are doomed to eternal torment.

I'm not an atheist, I actually believe in karma and reincarnation, where actions have consequences.

  • I sense a little Spirituality in you thats not a bad thing god wants you to search out what is right for you. Bible thumping Christians are usely the bigest hypocrites

  • well I have had a lot of spiritual experiences, I just don't know what to believe and what not to believe, other than determining that Christianity doesn't make sense to me. I just wish I was less confused on these matters. and I don't like hypocrisy at all, hypocrisy bothers me a lot.

  • I think meditation is the best way to figure out what it is you belive in. take the time read meditate you will know it when it feels right. Just dont let others determin your relationship to God

  • that is a good point, I haven't meditated in awhile.

  • your answer about meditation and letting other determine your relationship to the creator of all things is brilliant, i wish u all the best, have a fun trip...be well, michael

  • Sit on a hil overlooking the ocean and you will understand that there has to be a crator. That being said Man wrote the bible its a view of GOD from mans eyes and we can see what man is doing to our planet and wach other.

  • well if there is a creator, he or she is either not omnipotent nor all-powerful, or else purposefully created disease and natural disasters and birth defects.

nature can be beautiful and wonderful, but it can also be brutal and unforgiving.

there does seem to a spiritual energy or life force if you will that you can tap into, but it doesn't seem too concerned about morality or preventing suffering.

I've seen "good" people's prayers go completely ignored and "bad" people do evil through LoA.

  • I think the problem is the way we perceive things. I love bryan so much some times the wory about loosing him hurts. Should I be upset that I can feel such a thing. No I am glad for all the feelings that I feel good and bad. I Have been thru some really dark times in my life. If I hadnt gone thru those times would I cherish what I have today or would I take it for granted.

  • well I agree that there needs to be some bad in the world to help us appreciate the good, but sometimes the bad stuff clouds your vision to the point where you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore it can be really hard to stay optimistic and keep pushing forward.

  • true and for those people I send my prayer that they find a person or idea that carries them thru the dark times

  • I congratulate you and my conteis full support, you are my heroes

  • U go New Hampshire.

New York got to be next, so I hope.

If equality is what you pray for, I have to say AMEN.

  • amen to equality! hallelujah!!

  • Yay!!

  • I am also excited to see New Hampshire recognizes that all of it's citizens must be equal, and that's wonderful.

The next state should be New York , because they are almost finish to work on the bill.

  • religion is stupid

  • I'm so happy for new Hampshire ....Cant wait for the day they legalise gay marriage in New York too, I've been engage for a lil over a year to my baby and we're just waiting for that time to come....

  • Congratulations

  • I'm from New Hampshire, and I'm so happy that we approved this. Our governor is personally against same sex marraige, but approved it anyway because it's what the majority wanted:)

  • At least in your state the "will of the majority" is on the side of justice and equality.
