unless a person is playing music for a living and making people feel good night in and night out then who the fuck are ya to judge anyhow.just shut up and play
The difference between SRV and KWS is that SRV had an inovative, unique and one of a kind style (that sounded like nobody else, regardless of an genre). His touch on the guitar, tone, feel, style and soul was completely his own and it was all unique and on a very high level. KWS unfortunately is totally oposite. He is the #1 SRV wannabe and copycat ever. He can't use improvisations and he copies 99% SRV's licks, style, tone, sound, everything... He has been claimed like that from everybody!
I agree, he is playing in SRV's style.. but I would take it as a compliment not an insult. SRV is by far my biggest influence as well.. something about his playing gets to my soul. SRV had many influences and guitarists he looked up to as well.. Hendrix, all three Kings, Otis Rush.. the list goes on on and on. Relax and enjoy the music.
You JACKASS! Of course SRV was the best, but he's dead now, isn't he? What would you prefer, nobody carries on in his style? Where would SRV been without Hendrix to model?(also dead, btw) KWS ROCKS - enjoy!!!
would everyone stop arguing! just respect them for their abilities. I hate it when people compare musicians to people like SRV and Hendrix as their standards. Yes KWS sounds like SRV in this song but does that have to be bad? It's not like he is changing one single note from an SRV song and claiming it to be his own. Quite frankly I think this is a brilliant song in the style of SRV.
This whole song sounds ripping SRV note for note! I know this is not a SRV song, but KWS played things, licks and stuff 99% of the SRV library, pure SRV things! KWS is just a SRV wannabe, second rate version clone of SRV, a nobody! There are plenty of better guitar players out there!
Too bad his old man Ken is a prick. Always has been, always will be. I'd spend more time hanging with his new DIL Mel....Gotta be a better influence...
kws sounds laot like srv in many songs but then agian he has songs like slow ride, blue on black, the place your in, ect. that put him apart fomr that stle of blues playing - he's an amazing blues guitarist in fact he is the modern day srv....how can you not draw inspiration form such a man as srv!? but i think kenny has mixed many genre's well and i love his playing
Who is the person with the dark glasses and the hat, at the beggining? Anyone special or just an effect on the video? Remains me of John Popper, but with white hair...KWS music and his band are great.

KWS sucks. He is just a copycat, wannabe and and a rip off. He can't even hold a candle to SRV.

And where did SRV learn all his licks from? Nothing wrong with paying homage to the master, SRV.

Previous comment - this guy is no way near the level as SRV - C'mon! SRV was a prodigy KWS is not.

Totally true. KWS is just an amateur and a school boy compared to the real god and master of guitar, SRV!!!
KWS is not even close to SRV's level, not even close. He is just a wannabe, rip off and a copycat. Nothing special.

Jonny Lang is better.
Is it also odd that I think that every note he plays sounds like SRV? I guess that's a good thing and a bad thing.
