This game is, without a doubt, the best Zelda game ever. I love the dark tone, the graphics, the gameplay, the captivating story... and Midna! Simply put, it's a masterpiece.
I'm in Goron Mines in this game, and I have played it before on Gamecube but now I got a Wii so I'm playing it on Wii again. The storyline really gets to me, and it's just amazing. Honestly, hands down, beautiful game.
I swear to god, every single time a new Zelda game is reviewed, there's always the line "BEST ZELDA GAME YET!" Let's all except that Ocarina of Time will forever remain the king. It's just perfect. PERIOD.

Thumbs up if you think there should be a Zelda Game with Dark Link as the main culprit. or better yet (even though its like sonic unleashed) that during day; he is regular link and night dark link( just say it happened because someone curses him or something) and every morning regular link returns he is being chased by village people but you cant hurt them.(lets say you dont know what dark link does during the night). I personally prefer Twilight Princess over Skyward Sword... The sense of freedom to ride Epona across the massive Hyrule field can't be beat!!! Plus, the dark look and cinematic story Twilight Princess offers is top notch and EPIC!!!
@juanmreynoso yea that is one thing i found too, in most all zeldas the world seems so connected, and twilight princess the world was connected and vast but flying across it on epona was awesome. I find having to warp back into the sky and fly on that damn bird to be a bit annoying. It just seems like the bird isn't fast at all and you can only get to each area one way, by going to the dive points and picking the spot you want to land in. they should have had the epona down on the surface

@misterneckbreaker88 They're the same game except the Wii version's been flipped to make Link right handed. The motion controls in TP are extremely basic compared to SS as well. Still an amazing game though.

Skyward sword hands down has the best motion control (probably of all time to date) but the graphics are just so, I dunno if I like em or not, there definitely different but they seem like they've been done before in other nintendo games and they are super cartoony. TP was meant to have full HD graphics. the only reason why SwS has better graphics. but when WiiU will come out, im sure nintendo will continue making zeldas in the TP style of graphics, more realistic and dark

@janfeyen9 think the wii let the game down, delayed its release so it was no longer a GC game. by the time it was released i never got the urge or excitement from exploring the world, hyrule seemed empty. while games like oblivion blew everyones minds with how huge and sand box they were. think nintendo realised there was no way they could compete with that so they focused more on dungeons and puzzles for skyward

@BuddyBros I just found it incredibly boring and it lacks tons of depth compared to twilight princess. It isn't a bad game though, just didn't live up to my expectations.
I really love ALL Zelda games equally because every single one is excellent. I haven't been disappointed by a Zelda game in my whole life.
The only time I felt unsure about a Zelda game was with Wind Waker, I hated Nintendo because they "ruined" my favorite series with "childish" graphics (I was like 12 and I was sooo stupid), later after renting it for a day I got to Forsaken Fortress and realized how I needed to buy that game no matter what. Now it's the most timeless Zelda I've played IMO.
I love twilight princess and its my favorite Zelda title to this day. I got Skyward sword recently and it just doesn't seem to wow me like TP did. Don't get me wrong, SS is a good game, and I haven't beaten it yet so it could get better, but I feel like link had a lot more to live for in TP. I cared about the characters more. He had a lot more connections. In SS it seems like your only real connection is Zelda and maybe fi, but it almost seems to me like fi has no personality. Midna was the best

SS was a little dissapointing. I wish it had more dungeons and i wish it had "secret" bosses. I don't understand why is "secret" bosses aren't in Zelda games. It seems perfect like in Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars.
@WhiteEmerald1991 Well, the sections in between dungeons were pretty lengthy, like the Song of the Hero quest. And there were many puzzle solving elements during these parts. I think these made up for the "lack" of dungeons. I pretty much enjoyed the whole game.

It didn't ever strike me how dark this game was until I fell in the lava for the first time in the second dungeon. I was kind of expected a warp noise like in OoT or something else along the lines but instead he actually died. I was just shocked and honestly a little freaked out lol.
Where the fuck is the Link shield in from this game on Skyward Sword? Why do we have a gauge now? Why can't we slice while running? Why couldn't they make dark graphics on Skyward? shit man this was the third zelda game i played, the first being wind waker (still my favorite) and the second being OoT for the gamecube (wooh pre-order disk!!!) but man do i regret selling this off to gamestop :(
Twilight Princess: better graphics, you can run while slashing, and good story-line, more puzzles.
Skyward Sword: more in depth story-line, down graded a bit on graphics, more of a plot, and showing Zelda and Links childhood friendship, more guidance in all a better game.
Everyone who is bashing on skyward swords graphics just need to realize that graphics don't make the game. I the game is fun and addicting then I don't think it's gonna matter. Like, god damn people still play pong with its negative 9 bit shit graphics

@bouchandre Yes I have played it. I don't know why you are telling me this though because my opinion is different than your opinion. It's great to have one. But growing up with OOT as child is almost indescribable, especially being able to play it when you grow older and appreciate it more. So it is perfect to me. Twilight Princess, as the reviewer states, is the "spiritual successor" to OOT, which I could agree with because it did remind me of it, the dark story and realisticness just appealed

I think you're getting ''Art style'' and ''Graphics'' mixed up.
You look at the textures in TP, they really look bad compared to the SS's graphics,
and yes, SS has a different art style witch was cartoony, but I liked it.
I liked TP's dark and gritty world, but the art style in SS was also amazing, like a painting coming to life, fact is, I love both art styles ;)

@janfeyen9 think the wii let the game down, delayed its release so it was no longer a GC game. by the time it was released i never got the urge or excitement from exploring the world, hyrule seemed empty. while games like oblivion blew everyones minds with how huge and sand box they were. think nintendo realised there was no way they could compete with that so they focused more on dungeons and puzzles for skyward

1) Ocarina Of Time/Twilight Princess
2) Majoras Mask

I really love ALL Zelda games equally because every single one is excellent. I haven't been disappointed by a Zelda game in my whole life.
The only time I felt unsure about a Zelda game was with Wind Waker, I hated Nintendo because they "ruined" my favorite series with "childish" graphics (I was like 12 and I was sooo stupid), later after renting it for a day I got to Forsaken Fortress and realized how I needed to buy that game no matter what. Now it's the most timeless Zelda I've played IMO.

I love twilight princess and its my favorite Zelda title to this day. I got Skyward sword recently and it just doesn't seem to wow me like TP did. Don't get me wrong, SS is a good game, and I haven't beaten it yet so it could get better, but I feel like link had a lot more to live for in TP. I cared about the characters more. He had a lot more connections. In SS it seems like your only real connection is Zelda and maybe fi, but it almost seems to me like fi has no personality. Midna was the best

SS was a little dissapointing. I wish it had more dungeons and i wish it had "secret" bosses. I don't understand why is "secret" bosses aren't in Zelda games. It seems perfect like in Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars.

@WhiteEmerald1991 Well, the sections in between dungeons were pretty lengthy, like the Song of the Hero quest. And there were many puzzle solving elements during these parts. I think these made up for the "lack" of dungeons. I pretty much enjoyed the whole game.

It didn't ever strike me how dark this game was until I fell in the lava for the first time in the second dungeon. I was kind of expected a warp noise like in OoT or something else along the lines but instead he actually died. I was just shocked and honestly a little freaked out lol.

Where the fuck is the Link shield in from this game on Skyward Sword? Why do we have a gauge now? Why can't we slice while running? Why couldn't they make dark graphics on Skyward? One thing that really pisses me off is the Fi is so fucking annoying I miss Midna, Midna is way cooler I miss being able to turn into a wolf, I miss the snow temple, the hot chick that like Yetti and snow, I miss real bosses WTF is that gay guy in Skyward Sword that just flips his hair around fuck that guy

Twilight Princess: better graphics, you can run while slashing, and good story-line, more puzzles.
Skyward Sword: more in depth story-line, down graded a bit on graphics, more of a plot, and showing Zelda and Links childhood friendship, more guidance in all a better game.

@bouchandre Yes I have played it. I don't know why you are telling me this though because my opinion is different than your opinion. It's great to have one. But growing up with OOT as child is almost indescribable, especially being able to play it when you grow older and appreciate it more. So it is perfect to me. Twilight Princess, as the reviewer states, is the "spiritual successor" to OOT, which I could agree with because it did remind me of it, the dark story and realisticness just appealed
