I have to agree with Polkadotnotes26. Its much better to buy some expensive pens than a whole lot of garbage. They retain more value as they are resellable and the "writing experience" , as people call, it is just much better.

i have 3 different cases , cardboard hamburger box is the cheap crap , plastic black pencil box is the average stuff, and the little green zip up 6 inch x4 inch note book case is for the dozen of favorites

@crammage its going to be hard getting everyones pencils together, but we have kuru togas, rotring 600, rotring rapid pro, rotring art pens, pentel s20, graphgear 500 and 1000, dr grip/dr grip shakers, dr grip 4+1 (like 10 of those, very popular), alpha gel/alpha gel shaker, alpha gel slim, alpha gel kuru toga, lamy safari, lamy trio, platinum pro use 2, zebra spiral, staedtler 925-25, uni ball shift pipe lock, and the pentel kerry. these are not cheap pencils, the rotring 600 is $33.00

how funny that we are addicted to such "little" things. as a medical professional, it started a pen obsession because the drug reps would toss handfuls of the best pens to us. now im on to pencils as my drawer of pens is embarrassingly full! nice collection!

Excellent Pen colletion you have. I honestly don't have an opinion on Mechanical Pencils. Any will do for me. My favorite pens are Pilot G2's, Foray Gel Pens, Gelly Rolls or Pentel Energels. Pilot Precise used to be my favorites to, but I realized they leak all over your hand too much and it's annoying.
