  • @tesm32

it's an instrumental skit called "Visions" from Afu-Ra's "Body of the Life Force" album...it's produced by DJ Premier...

  • HIP HOP = PREIMERE + GURU = 90'S = BRING IT BACK PEOPLE = JAY-Z YOU KNOW THE DRILL MAN!

  • hes sweating like tap water

  • @57supreme

That day was actually kind of cool, in the early 70s temp. wise...unfortunately, the hipsters and rich people in the area called the cops and they made Fat Beats staff close the windows whenever music was playing...factor in a small space filled to capacity or possibly over capacity and no window to let the heat and humidity out and you basically have a sauna...

  • @57supreme it felt 100 degrees in that room I was sweating too.

  • Should be no comments, just sit back and recognize one of the greatest DJs, producers and directors of ALL TIME! PRIMO!!!! You can bet they know me and you can bet they know PREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Waterproof headphones?

  • r.i.p fat beats - r.i.p guru - r.i.p dilla

  • Eh Man there are alot of people using the beats that you make. You make great beats. My only thing is that the artist that use your beats kill the whole effect with weak videos. Ya art deserves better than that...

  • why did he say snoop dog wtf? fuck faggot ass snoop

  • @RaiptYou

He said "Anybody that ever performed on a Gang Starr record from Snoop Dogg to Scarface, is going to be there"...Snoop was on "The Ownerz" album...that's why he mentioned him...

  • SERATO IS ALSO EASIER FOR THE DJ TO TRAVEL WITHOUT THE RECORDS AND CRATES. BUT ANY REAL DJ CAN USE ANY PROGRAM OT JUST TURNTABLES TO PERFORM.

  • @kmuhammadofluv4self just turntables? won't he need some rekkids?? kmt

  • I was outside when premier was cuttin over the group home intro... when i heard it I started buggin out on the esidewalk!!!

  • damn i love the cuttin over the Group Home Intro

  • whats that beat playing at 5:03...

  • @supastition23 aThe intro on Group Home's "Livin' Proof" album...produced by Primo, of course.

  • yo what beat is that at 8:30!!! its so smooth

  • anybody know the sample at 8:30?????

  • here's the proof why girls aren't like really into music. legend is playing and girls being bored outta they minds chewing gum, i-phoning, looking out the window, and looking at the shitty pictures they took. But must say...primo is a bit off haha. Like way off. But i guess he's allowed to do that after all the good things he gave us ;)

  • @bandaley

Considering who they are, the probably know Premo personally..

  • @toneriggz maybe they know him personally , i dont know. But still...

  • @bandaley

    they're photographers, not musicians

  • @bandaley How is he off? Fuck what these bitches think!!!

  • @bandaley I see what u mean but not necessarily true. Its just not enough females who are hip hop heads that could appreciate this. if i had been there i wouldve been the main chick head noddin to Premo

  • @bandaley they dont have to be into music their job is photography theyre there because their supposed to be not cuz they choose to

  • @ZaneThaKing

Without blowing up any spots, those two photographers are the significant others of certain people in the indie Hip Hop scene...So, i'd imagine they know a lot of these artists personally and have seen them perform many times which is why they might seem unfazed...

  • @toneriggz

Plus photogs in general have that same demeanor at most Hip Hop shows...

  • serato killed vinyl....which....in turn killed fat beats......why is primo using it...i do not know

  • @JoeMegaBeats

i understand to a certain degree all of this anti-Serato fervor, but i think the biggest thing that people are missing here is that this was all free- all of these Final Week instore performances were free...to get a chance to meet all of these rappers, producers, DJs for free and see them perform for free- they could've banged on pots and pans and i still would've been grateful...it's a new age, all of the greats are using Sertao, it is what it is...

  • @JoeMegaBeats i ain't a DJ myself, so i can't say much. but i understand the art, and serato is just a convenience. i read some interview somewhere, and i think Premier was against serato and shit like that, but he got put on to it, and he just mastered it himself. plus, he EARNED the right to use serato after all dem years of carrying heavy-ass crates around, ya'na mean? but ey if you're dope, you're dope, period.

  • @JoeMegaBeats dude serato was made cuz nowawadays vinyl isnt made anymore u act like he doesnt have a piece of real vinyl.. primo still loop diggs to this day.. this is is guilty pleasure.. he gerts paid to do wat he wants.. and serato is to at least preserve the actual turntables and turntablists culture alive for the new generations to come.. fuck CDJ'S

  • @JoeMegaBeats serato didn't kill shit...illegal downloads did. serato is dope

  • @JoeMegaBeats becuz its easier when mixing

  • @JoeMegaBeats whats wrong with that? ...im glad leaving my black gold in the cases or on the wall instead of dragging 100s of vinyls to club every weekend...if you really want to...you can still buy vinyls...thats how life goes with new inventions...im glad the dj stuff is kinda slow on inventions...u still got 1210s a mixer and a crossfader since the 80s...

  • @JoeMegaBeats Serato is a convinient DJ tool to easily transport all the dj's media.. sure it makes DJing a ton easier, but a real dj stilll needs to possess the skills and talent to perform.

  • @JoeMegaBeats the new upcomig Djs gotta use vinyl wax, Premo is mixing cuting and juggling beats almost a century so he doesnt have to proof once again that he is on of the dopest DJ, and he might be tired to carry tones of vinyls on every single show :))

  • @JoeMegaBeats What's wrong with Serato? I am unfamiliar with this term/technology. How did it kill vinyl and "fat beats" (I'm assuming you mean quality of sound)?

  • First off.........Much respect to Primo!!! But there was a handfull of times where the mix sounded like a trainwreck. kinda surprised me really.

  • what instrumental does he play @ 7:16

  • @MrAzigzag seriously, anyone know?

  • @MrAzigzag

it's part of an interlude called "Baby Pa" by Group Home...

  • "I need a free beat" hahaha

  • "Yo man you know Rakim?...... That brotha' stuck again."

Lord have mercy on those "7 emcees"!

  • King of the beats is DJ Premier

  • @TheIffy316 and Dilla.

  • big props on uploadin' the videos bro!!! thx alot for these

  • So this concert Premo mentioned, I need to know when & where.

  • @Rappalot126

it's a Gang Starr tribute concert...he mentioned that most of the artists who've collaborated with Gang Starr over the years will be at the show or performing...he also mentioned that one big name artist in particular will be at the concert, but refused to mention who that artist is...i can't recall if he mentioned a date, but i think he was still ironing out all of the details, when it happens the info will probably be posted everywhere...

  • What's the track at 11:05 please ??????????????

  • @ifalas

it's a beat that DJ Premier did for Afu-Ra's "Body of the Life Force" album, it's called "Visions"...unfortunately, Afu didn't use it for a song, he used it as a skit or intermission, he just let the beat play for a few seconds on the album...

  • @toneriggz ya ..i always wondered why afu didn't do anything over it..hot beat

  • @toneriggz Damn he sould have used it ! This is so sickkkk

  • Damn, If I didn't have a gig that night I would've been there to rep for my dude Premo and my FB fam.

  • woooo premier
