  • @ChannelCoevolution electric pianos usually only have one or two "voices", and always have weighted keys (sometimes hammer-weighted with actual hammers inside). It's similar in principle to the electric guitar. electric keyboards have all the cool sounds and all that

  • @ChannelCoevolution my advice is to buy the biggest keyboard that you can afford, just in case you do surpass the need of 61 earlier than expected. I've been playing for just over a year and I've been in need of a bigger keyboard for the past few months

  • @ChannelCoevolution To me, it is a really good keyboard. It's as durable as any other keyboard, the sound quality is good, the keys have a nice feel to them (even though they aren't weighted). At first, 61 keys isn't such a big deal, but you'll soon realize that most songs go just a few notes outside the range of it, both high and low. Hope that helps :)

  • that's pretty good!

  • @irvineworld thanks! :)

  • @awsomguitarman btw does your keyboard have full 88 keys? and which version is it?

mine doesn't and i've to play piano on campus -__-

  • @irvineworld it's the yamaha ypt-320, and it only has 61 keys
