It's not a band,it's only Yann Tiersen. This song is sing by Dominique A and there is an orchestra,there original version is on the album: Le Phare(If i'm not wrong). In the begining Yann used to play alla the instrument,then when he bagn to become more famous he engaged an orchetra.He is quite famous because he has done the music for the movie: Amélie, The Dreamlife of Angel and Good bye Lenin. He is 38 years old,but his first album was form 1995(La valse des monstres)

I saw him on stage a few years ago and there were only 5 or 6 musicians with him.

This guy is a genius. Just listen to the songs he wrote for Jane Birkin (Où est la ville), Françoiz Breut (Vingt a trente mille jours, Les Hauts quartiers de peine) or for himself (La Pleureuse).
