This is hands down my favorite NFL intro song if nothing else because I remember the 1994 season so fondly. I am a 49ers fan, and that season was truly glorious, I was 16 years old, just got my first car, took my last "family vacation" with my parents to Florida that winter and life was just good...what a time it was! This theme song reminds me of those days!...Love it!

@thesportsman48 I don't think there's a version of it without the announcers anywhere. But you can see it (with the accompanying video and graphics) by finding this game or the Patriots at Browns playoff game from 1994.

I guess you could take the music from both game intros and see if there's a program that will remove the audio that does not appear exactly the same in both (the announcers).

It seemed back in these days CBS was the lower-tone sound of NFL (they had NFC) and NBC was the higher quality sound and coverage (they had AFC). The obviously NBC was still the higher tone even over FOX. Now CBS is the higher coverage and tone (AFC ball) compared to the lower quality and tone of FOX (NFC).

This theme here should comeback for NBC Sunday Night Football.

This takes me back to a time when there was a lack of emphasis pop culture figures promoting many leagues and also when NBC Sports was the jumpoff...Even though I was only five years old when this theme came along, I really think NBC should return to that theme or the ones used from 1989-1992, 1993, or even the one from 1995-97...AFC should come back 2 NBC, as well as the NFC returning 2 CBS...FOX is whack, but was much better back then than it is now.

I think this game was on a saturday? and the Browns did win 19-14 I remember thinking the 49ers would get the home field throughout the NFC playoffs for Dallas was 11-3 after this loss and the 49ers would win sunday and have a one game and a half game lead since the 49ers had already beat Dallas in 1994.
