tip: i think its better to keep the pack between the index finger and the thumb lower, since the thumb pushes upwards.

the weave is much easier with a plastic card deck, but they are more slippery during the slide/split. It's harder to keep them in place, but I get the weave almost perfectly 90% of the time with the plastic deck.

one additional tip: when you are sliding your index finger (2:25), make sure to rest the card against your fingernail instead of the fleshy part of your finger. It slides easier without pulling up the back card...

@Muffinzeshlongun what kind of cards do u have ? the cards is often the secret of how smooth you can get fans, spreads etc. Bicycle poker cards are the best cards for things like this. Maybe you knew all this allready but good luck =)

@AnotherAnomaly I squeeze my index finger and thumb together, and squeeze my middle and index fingers together a bit. It really helped me when I was learning, and now I can do it without damaging the cards at all.
