  • Woah! I thought this was against health care reform until the end. I just associated the guy collecting money as the government. Wow. Doesn't make sense to me now. Oh! It's the current health care system. Metaphor. Aha!

  • See congress puts this stuff out to make what they are doing look "good" and "promising" but it is far from it.

  • LOL!! So when the government takes over healthcare, suddenly you WON'T have to pay for everything??!

The irony is that you will PAY MORE! Goverment can't make things free, they can only confuse the way you pay. That and pay for a massive beaurocracy to make it work.

  • Finally, someone who gets it!

  • Very good Quinn. I didn't know you were into video.

  • Blasterman, the point is that you shouldn't have to pay twice. No one is insisting that healthcare reform is free. The point is that if it is part of the public domain it will be affordable. Before you call someone naive, make sure that you yourself are not a dumbass.

  • Who is paying twice?

Honestly, how is this a critique of the current healthcare system if the system described in this PSA doesn't exist?

Who is paying twice? That's the key question in determining the worthlessness of this PSA.

Also, the statement from it, direct quote, is that "you shouldn't have to pay for everything." This implies that if healthcare reform is passed whoever "you" is won't have to pay for it. This is "apples to oranges" at best and just plain misleading at worst.

  • Twice...let think about it.....once through taxes, and then you are asked to pay again. Get it blasterman?

  • I think I need to rephrase. This video is stating that paying for a school bus is ridiculous, or, paying for the school bus after it had been funded through taxes is ridiculous. So what does that have to do with healthcare? Whether it's a Socialist as you can get, or as it is right now, people are still only paying once. If you want something to go nationwide it has to be higher quality than this. It's shot and acted well. It just needs a useful message that isn't misleading or nonsensical.

  • This is grossly misleading. All of the commodities shown (with the possible excpetion of the bathroom, which might not be public) were paid for by the taxpayer. This video suggests that American's won't "have to pay" for their healthcare. They WILL pay, through taxes. This video shows people paying for things that they have already paid for through taxes. What does that have to do with today's healthcare system? The filmmaker must think that those things are free. NOTHING is free. So naïve.

  • Agreed.

  • That was very well done! Very funny.

  • that is awesome!!!

  • Cute.
