Captain my Captian, that is a tough land for us seasoned vets. That run way was made for air craft carrier landings during WWII, it was not ment for commercial/private aircraft. Good job in landing, dont do it to many times with precious cargo. (LTJG) RET J.Pall
Solid approach, on centerline (mostly hehe), followed glideslope well, and what a touchdown =) Next to fellow aviator and youtuber 'fholbert' (who by the way has some of the BEST general aviation videos on Youtube), you are one of the FEW who has a video of a safe, competent, and proper landing. It is absolutely scary to see some of the other videos of landings on this website. Keep up the great work; see you in the air!
My first dual XC was supposed to be to Thermal, but it was windy as hell in that direction (big surprise) so we went to Catalina instead. I think Catalina was a better choice anyway. :P We landed in the opposite direction.
My dad flies a piper warrior! :D

Very cool! How long is the flight from the coast?

@luismarrou The helicopters take about 15 minutes. So my estimate is abut an hour. No personal experience.

HunsV,
Did you have a tailwind?
drummerdude6485 3 years ago
Looks like a slight right crosswind from looking at the wind sock. Sweet!!
